Possible Yowie Experience??

Hi there,

Not really sure what to make of this, but decided to share the experience. On the 11th March around 2pm I took my Mum & 6yr daughter for a walk through Witches Falls (Tamborine Mountain, QLD) On the way down I was mucking around with my daughter teaching her to do the 'Cooee" call. I decided to replace some of my Cooee calls with my version of Bobo's bigfoot call (Finding Bigfoot) lol..about 40mins later we were much further along the track (It was a slow walk with my Mum) but still down the bottom. My daughter had picked up a branch, as I joke I had said her to smack it against a tree..obviously creating the "tree knock" within 5-10sec there was a very clear and distinct reply. There were no other people down there at the time. Mum & I just looked at each other not really saying anything but we were thinking the same thing!!. We stood there for a bit listening. A few minutes later we had something thrown at us. I'm going to assume a rock as there was no other sound prior or after. If it was a branch or something we would have heard it starting to fall etc. I picked up a rock and threw it as to recreate the noise and yep thats what it sounded like!. I then decided that we should probably get going as I didn't want anything else to happen that might freak my daughter out so we continued on our way back up the track, even though I was pretty keen to go off track and have a look around.

Has anyone else heard of stuff around the Witches Falls area? With all the rain we have had (and still getting) thinking about going for a bit of a walk (off track) may get some prints?? Anyone in the Tamborine Mountain area interested?

Hi Nic. A freind of mine has seen the little yowies multiple times on walks through tambourine with his family.

My sister was telling me that some freinds of hers took her to a waterfall at tambourine to look at orbs (?) where they spied a " little man" watching them but she couldnt see it.

Other than that i can only think of the AYR witness reports that are worth a look or listen. Apparently they are on tambourine so its not out of the question that you were inadvertently communicating with a hairy man!

VERY keen to head up there now. I live in Southport and Ive been out into the ranges a couple of times looking for them. Nothing yrt. Last time I was at witches falls though I spoke with a local who had a sighting in early 2016. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Nic she thinks it was curtis falls late afternoon and mentioned gallery walk if thats any help.

My mate ive known my whole life. Hes been asking me to go there with him for nearly ten years now but i didnt want to know about yowies then. He knew nothing of yowies but now calls them "homi florensis" lol!

Be careful mate, ive heard the little ones are unpredictable..

Hi I know this is an old thread now but wondering if anyone went to witches falls in the end? I went for a walk with my family and was super busy I guess due to covid restrictions easing a bit. I wonder if with the restrictions in place til now there would have been less walkers and increased chance of people who live there seeing or hearing signs of YOWIE's? I didn't look for anything as was trying to stop my 2yo slipping down the hill but would b interested to see if anyone has been there recently and seen anything.
