Floods and yowies

There must have been a mass migration of yowies away from the floods to the mountains so I thought there would be naturally a spike in sightings as they moved to higher ground.The gold coast hinterland and other hotspots were inundated and I wonder how weather effects them.

Hey Lozza, i would imagine there instincts would be greater than ours and they know when the weather will change. I do believe they go to higher ground, when things settle they come back.
I know for a fact where i go if it is going to rain or storm that night or is raining, storming they are not there. It takes days for the weather to settle back to shine when they appear again. We never go out anymore if the rain is coming because we know it will be a dead night out there. Who knows where they go to not get wet. I hear about underground caves, Portals too. Sounds insane, but after what iv seen anything is a possibility.

Hi Adventurer,You certainly have had some wild experiences and your definitely braver than me.I wouldn't have went back out after the first night.I thought they were active in the rain or people say they turn up when its pouring...sometimes they use rain to mask their arrival.It was teeming the night one visited our campsite.Love reading your posts.

Hey Lozza,wow, it just goes to show how hard it is to work these guys out. I will have to look more into the visits people get when it rains. Would certainly be harder to hear them coming and if a tree came down you would have to wonder whether its the hairy friend or from the rain/storms. Be very difficult to work out many things. I find the hairys are out there when you can here a pin drop its so so dead quiet.
It was difficult me going back but geez i had to work out what it was. I remember YB saying to me"Dont let it consume your life", I'm afraid it already did. Then i saw what i saw and was satisfied, but then thought rusty and others really need all the help they can get with maybe clues or that PHOTO. But don't call me brave, i am far from that, i have learnt to stand my ground now, and if things get scary i walk FAST out instead of run. Welly has taught me to respect them and i stay more aware of there wants, when we get that strong feeling to leave, we do.
We are camping out in May close but out of there area and will drive down, that way hopefully we wont get any night visits like you at the campsite. Dont think anyone will be sleeping that night lol.
Scared out of my mind but just as curious to know these guys better and of course get that clear pic! Stay safe. Dee

Hey Dee thats good advice. I should have taken it myself! Lol! You sure have gotten into the thick of it since those first few stonings you copped!!

As for the yowies whereabouts diring the floods and wet season, i dont know. What Dee is saying makes sense and ive read what Lozza says about the hunting and using storms for cover. I think it was Wolf who read that Bigfoot had been seen clinging to the ground or something during thunder storms to stay safe.

At least they can glide so they wouldnt have to worry about getting their feet wet and im sure they could use a good shower every now and then!

I doubt it would bother them too much anyway.
