Otways

Unread post by thewolfwill777 »

Hey there.
I've just come home from a fishing trip to the otways.
I noticed plenty of strange manipulation to the trees. I was a bit slack with taking photos because fishing comes first for me, but i am heading back in a few days with no rod so i can have a proper look. I have one photo ill post for now and would be interested in some feedback as to whether you guys think its natural or constructed. Cheers.

Doesn't look natural to me.

Just to be clear on what I'm seeing, is that large upright the lower part of the large horizontal limb? Unusual that the lower upright is lichen covered and the top one isn't. Or am i seeing it wrong?

Yeah mate your seeing it right. Good pick up on the lichen. I never noticed that. What i find interesting is the thin stick that goes against the pattern of the 'tee pee' to maybe create an 'x' seems to be almost interwined?

Looks natural to me.
Easy way to tell, have a look around at the ground. It looks like it might be fairly dense undergrowth?
If Yowies made it the small seedlings, bushes etc on the ground would be flattened down.

That pic is hard to tell .
I've seen many similar breaks like that and Its a challenge to determine whether its natural or not.
