Yowie Story on SBS - Wingello, NSW

Unread post by Dean Harrison »

Tony Healy mentioned a Promo for the 'Insight' program on SBS advertising a Yowie story for Tuesday night at 8.30.

It is about a Witness named Sophia who came to us several weeks ago regarding her sighting at Wingello on September 6th. This is our second Report from Wingello, NSW.

She had heard a noise outside her house and investigated with her mobile phones flash light. It crouched down initially however when it stood, it was said to have been 9ft tall (measured by a tree branch it walked beside). The eyes reflected orange in the torch beam. broad shoulders, long legs and long arms. The smell was of a 'burning' smell.

She had sent a recording of some kind of screaming some night later, which we forwarded along to Gary Opit. He confirmed it wasn't a Fox and was unclear what exactly it was - which is unlike Gary.

I haven't seen the SBS Promo's. I presume it's on among other stories.

I did a Research night at Wingello a few years ago and it was a very quiet area. Nothing came around our campsite or when we walked around for a few hours. I might venture down there again in the future.

Cheers Dean Ill have to give that a look.

My better half and I were up at Jolley's lookout a few weeks ago when we heard this echo out of the bush.

I'm sure there are syllables in the vocalizations?

Before this I had not heard anything legit that Id call speech.

Can't find any mention of Yowies on any Insight programs (SBS on-demand).
Has anyone seen/found it?

It was suggested it may have been advertising above, maybe they were advertising had a promo for next weeks show on tuesdays show. If you get my drift.
