Bigfoot hunter suing government for right to prove it exists
"A Canadian man gathering evidence which he believes will prove the existence of Bigfoot is taking his quest to the courts in British Columbia, in an effort to compel the local government to back research into the mythical beast’s habitat.
Todd Standing has been carrying out expeditions in Canada’s Rocky Mountains for nearly a decade. Dubbed a ‘sasquatch researcher,’ Standing has previously released images which he claims provide a “crystal clear” view of the simian-like creature.
The mythical creature has been the subject of numerous hoaxes for decades, and has surfaced in grainy footage over the years, most famously the Patterson-Gimlin film of the 1960s.
Standing believes he can provide genetic analysis of the humanoid and wants the government to acknowledge its existence.
He has now filed a lawsuit with the British Columbia Supreme Court, according to the Vancouver Sun, accusing the Fish and Wildlife ministry of a “dereliction of duty pertaining to the interests of an indigenous wildlife species.”
Speaking to Metro News, Standing suggested the government is responsible for an area of land where he thinks at least one creature resides. “I have so much evidence, this is way beyond a reasonable doubt,” he told the news outlet.
“This seriously requires more investigation. It’s irresponsible that nobody’s taking this seriously,” he added.

A while back I recall seeing an official map/list of fauna/flora for Washington state and they actually had bigfoot or sasquatch on the list. I have done a google search but can not find the exact site I saw it on but the link to google search is below and there is some mention of it on other sites.

Hey Shazzoir
This sort of recognition may help the Canadian guy in his quest. Also in Australia the Washington recognition may sway the oz govt to admit to the public what the govt already knows but will not admit to. Then again maybe the govt will ignore........ Maybe Dean and a few other oz researchers could go to the relative oz govt departments (for recognition) with their research etc as well as the Washington info to back them up re the oz hairy people.
Cheers

Getting government recognition for these creatures (what ever they are) would be a vindication for the Aboriginal people and for those of us who have been ridicuuled for what we saw .
It would however be a double edged sword . If they were to be recognised they would also need protection . So how do you protect wild forest primitives ?
Stopping access to the forest would be the only way . Close the 4x4 trails , fire trails , national parks , local forests , the greens would jump all over it like a gift from God .
Species recognition would be the answer to the GREEN PRAYER .

It's not ANY 'wing'... it is FACT.gregvalentine wrote:Oh dear, oh dear, you used to be able to talk sense without resorting to this nasty right-wing c**p.Rusty2 wrote:Getting government recognition for these creatures (what ever they are) would be a vindication for the Aboriginal people and for those of us who have been ridicuuled for what we saw .

Research Agenda 21
The ONLY way 'Big Bro' is going to risk losing billions in law suits with a disclosure (relatives of missing persons) is if a 'law' can protect them. The ability to file Suit for damages is a very basic tenet of law... in fact, the reason for the existence of courts in the first place.
'They' know whatever 'legislation' they create to protect themselves is not even worth the paper its written on if someone serious (serious $) wishes to take it high up the judicial 'food chain'... (at the moment)...
They need to basically remove the last of our rights (in this case, the right to file suit) before they can disclose... Agenda 21 would serve this purpose very nicely for it removes national sovereignty and basic human rights and replaces them with an over-reaching 'International Law'.
DISCLAIMER: Ironically, I am so green I make Greenpeace look pink. If I had it my way I would kick 90% of humans off this planet, freeze all tree clearing and housing construction, bulldoze the cities and the suburbs, force everyone left onto permaculture farms and small communities that were as self-sufficient as possible... and let life on this planet recover.
... and people call me a right-wing conservative

The latest episode of Sasquatch Chronicles is VERY interesting.
Wes interviews Mr Standing himself about the court case and even better, the background to the (in)famous footage.

I would take the time to watch Standing's doco. It could'nt hurt to see what he has to say.
Saying you won't watch something based on others opinions is not allowing yourself the chance to make up your own mind.
At least he has more credibility than J&J 'Yurk brothers' productions.
