Many thanks for all the hard work, not just on this sexy new format but for the years devoted to this little gem mine
of information and advise. Do you and Dean et al have a facility to receive contributed donations? I would have paid for membership
if it was asked...still will if it ever becomes a money pit for you guys.

Cheers and thankyou.

I forwarded an Email off to Dean the other day about this after trying numerous different codes and was unable to get a video to work. I think an extension is needed for the forum for videos to work.

You can try yourself with different codes if you wish just remember to hit the preview button instead of submit that way you get an idea on if your code is working or not.

Be good if we had something like this on the Forum for video embedding https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxce5nKIe5k

see, it works now.

We are currently working on adding video embedding to the board and it should be added over the next day or so.

Hi Dion, yes that bbcode would work, however, there is a much easier iframe bbcode than what that guy created.
anyway, the new media extension allows you to simply copy the video url and paste it into a post and it just works.

I just finished adding the extension so give it a try.
ah, I see it has been discovered already.

good work

actually, I have no idea how this media extensions works. It was develped by one of the phpbb staff at phpbb.com
the iframe bbcode I was talking about was created a few years ago .
with this new extension you don't need that iframe bbcode or the old one or any other one for youtube.
also, this extension works for many different audio/video embed codes around the net.
you can see the current list if supported sites here:

Freshly returned from the wilds of Gladstone, and I arrive home to check AYR first, only to find this remarkably clean and sexy new forum, wowsers!

I like that the space on the left is for the post contents, with the poster's avatar on the right, so it's not the main focus of the post.
Also appreciating this massive user-friendly URL posting system - the best of the old AYR with the new way of viewing it.

Congratulations on a job well done, and thank you to Dean, Lasso and Robert for getting it up and running. (kiss)

Add my name to the list of happy customers! :)

Love the new forum design just wondering what happened to the audio reports and the reports from the different states that were on the old home page?

They are still there Lozza http://www.yowiehunters.com.au/

Unless you mean a link from the forum they are gone.
