I took this pic Sat June 2nd at 9am on a walk with my dog to a creek in the Mapleton National Park (Yandina outskirts). It was not there a week earlier as I regularly check for tracks along this particular path as it’s usually boggy and ideal for track traps. No tread noticeable but it was the only definitive print around. My shoe is a size 10 for reference.
The instep is very pronounced like a human but that’s a damn big foot if it is just a local hick with big stompers?

Looks about a size 13 or 14?

Re: Large print
That looks somewhat like the print I photographed, though mine has a less angled line of toes. Mine also has that instep break in the print.
Just thinking about shoe sizes, I put my size 6 (ladies) steelcap boot next the print, and it was probably double the length, if not more.

Re: Large print
We were up at mapelton forest on mapelton side 2 weeks ago and found numerous sized sticks and branches pushed into the ground in a clearing. I pulled a couple out which were pushed in at various depths and tried to replicate but I could only push in about 2" and the deepest one we found was about 8 to 10" in. We did not have a tape measure so it was an estimation. So in my opinion whatever or whoever did it was very strong.

Re: Large print
I have also seen sticks pushed in the ground but never bothered to measure the depth but I will take note when back there over the weekend.
Pays to just sit down and tune in to the bush for 15-20mins to establish a baseline of sorts and then when stuff is out of place it’s easier to pick up on.
There is a farm bordering the national park near me that has a lot of banana trees and I reckon that would be a great place to recon and place a recorder when in fruit.
Don’t have the stones for a solo night mission yet, may never if I’m honest.
