Yes, closer inspection suggests this is at the front of the property, but then again its hard to get an idea of the property layout just from this clip..ripperton wrote: Tue Jun 19, 2018 8:16 am Strange how the caption says "backyard" then the end of the clip shows a car in a driveway but there would be
easy access to bush down the side of this house, Highly likely that this house backs onto bush.
Very suspect is the deliberate shaking of the camera. The camera person is standing still but the shaking is as though
he is running like Roger Patterson.
The stance and body language of the subject is convincing though.

'backyard' may just be euphemism. as in 'in my own backyard'. it's evidently in a yard - either front or back. also, driveways can be at the rear on larger lots.ripperton wrote: Tue Jun 19, 2018 8:16 am Strange how the caption says "backyard" then the end of the clip shows a car in a driveway but there would be

meantime, I'm curious about the idea that the camera shake is deliberate. how would we determine that? I was filming something this past weekend, and couldn't for the life of me manage to eliminate all shake. and I wasn't terrified at the time!

Hi thereLauriepch wrote: Tue Jun 19, 2018 12:27 am My sister lives in Hazelbrook, Blue Mountains. she says she has one visit her backyard and is reasonably frequent in its visits.
Looking to find out how we can begin investigation(s) into it.

Has your sister actually seen the animal?

Questions?
Has anyone who is interested had contact with the cameraman? Or are we just assuming he is legit?
Is it really the Blue Mountains? Or due to the "Hotspot" nature of the Blue Mountains, will hoaxers get more hits by claiming the area is BM's. It could be filmed in any country.

With no back story, we can only speculate.. One thing suggesting it is indeed from Aussie, is the large Eucalyptus trees behind the house..
I know for a fact there are many gums growing in California, New Zealand and probably other countries too , so it probably doesn't help too much.
I think Paul Mcleod could shed a little more light on it, and may know the original source..
