Re: OBVIOUS FRESH TREE BREAK
When you post, on the right above the area where you write, you'll see an icon of a computer monitor - the 'media' icon. It's yellow and is next to the word 'normal' in grey (the font size selector).
I've never tried to post a video directly to the forum form my machine, only YouTube links, but give it a go; then use 'preview' (next to the 'submit' button) to see if it worked in your post.
That way you can see how your post will look once it's been submitted before you go ahead and put it on the forum. Hope that helps.

Re: OBVIOUS FRESH TREE BREAK
...when you sue that icon this will appear....

Make sure your file is in between these two things in the parentheses , and that ought to work. I think. It sort of works like quotes do, if that makes it clearer. It's code the forum will recognise so it knows how to present/publish the file.

"use" that icon. Not sue the icon. You won't get it to testify, anyway.

Re: OBVIOUS FRESH TREE BREAK
That is a strong tree. Would take a bit to snap it. Did you have a look for tracks ?
Re: OBVIOUS FRESH TREE BREAK
thanks for the helpful posts. I will give it a try tonight.
the ground is very hard as there is a great deal sandstone in the region and it is covered in leaf litter so no obvious tracks. will be posting measurements soon to give a better idea.
thanks again for posting movie tips.

Re: OBVIOUS FRESH TREE BREAK
The tree looks to have been deliberately snapped by force. Since no other trees are similarly affected around it, it doesn't look to be a result of the weather.
Just be careful - nothing's worth injuring yourself over.

Holy dooley, that would have taken some doing! Fantastic work miss m4mi, sorry you got a bit bruised in the process.
RE: videos... It may just be easier to upload your video to YouTube or Vimeo, then send us the link here, by clicking on the Monitor/TV screen icon to the right of the font size selector drop down box, the pasting the URL of your YouTube/Vimeo video there.
All the best and you're going great guns!

Re: OBVIOUS FRESH TREE BREAK
Nice work , very thorough !
Collecting as much information as possible definately helps all of us .
If you think it's something (which it could be) collect all the leaves around the base of the tree , especially where the subject may have been standing . Put on some plastic overalls and search each leaf and each piece of debris for hair samples . Always use a brand new bag and make sure you body is covered at all times . This prevents your hair from falling into the bag .
Good luck !
