Thought I'd share this here.
So last night I was walking home from the pub. I'd only had seven cans so I wasn't drunk. The Bush Pig inn, they're on Facebook.
I have to walk past some bush. I had a headlamp on so my hands are free. I've scanned the bush and picked out a pair of eyes looking back at me. About 40 to 50 meters from me. I didn't get too worried, thinking maybe a roo.
I kept walking for a bit then scanned the bush again. Same eyes looking at me the same distance away.
So I walked some more, checking my back. Stopped again further down the road. Scanned the bush. Same eyes looking at me again.
I did the next 10 minutes to suburbia pretty quickly!
I'd say these eye were about 7 foot from the ground. Yellow orangey in colour. And I heard nothing from it following me. Not even a twig snap.
Next time I'm taking my hand held spotlight.
Probably nothing!

Re: Probably nothing!
Hey John
Thanks for sharing your story,
Many witnesses say that they get followed, did you hear any footfall sounds or grunts or breathing?
Cheers Slats

Re: Probably nothing!
I heard nothing.
Still wondering what would follow and stay parrarel to me.
Maybe panther but no sightings here. Too high from the ground anyway.
Or another human but do we have eyeshine?
And what colour is a humans eyeshine? I'm no scientist, just a chippy. Someone might be able to fill in that question..

Re: Probably nothing!
Humans eyes don't shine at night, we don't have the reflective layer like nocturnal animals.
By the stealth your explaining and the eye shine it may have be a Yowie, but it's difficult to say.
