I’ve never heard of Ron/Rod/Ian, not sure who they are, however Gary and I have known each other since the 90’s.

Good to see some new people out there. Not sure how popular the Finding Bigfoot themed Town Hall thing will work, but’s it’s certainty in the right location.

Look forward to hearing the feedback.

They are presenting a rather good photo (so I’m told) let’s hope it’s NOT a blurry picture of a burnt stump in the scrub. Rod is a great bloke with some really down to earth ideas, having spent hours on the phone talking all things hairy, I was looking forward to meeting him , Ray and Garry but a change of career makes it impossible to attend. I’m sure anyone that attends will have a great day/night.

I'm making the 850 km trip primarily for the photo reveal, to get the full details about the Glenbrook yowie video and to hear from Gary Opit. I hope the weather is nice.

Hello all

Just going to provide some background in brief form

1. Town Hall is just a name something a little different than symposium or conference
2. Ian is a long time author on various titles and wrote this book sometime ago but has a number of interesting stories
3. Rod, runs the facebook group, Coffs harbor and mid north coast group I helped him set up....he is the man on the ground there, good bloke who has has a number of his own encounters and is networking well on the ground.
4. Ron, long time researcher on the sunny coast has worked heavily with Adventurer in the past, good bloke and he is just attending and a good friend.
5. Yes there is a new photo that I feel is quite startling that I took some time ago, for those of who know Buck can contact him in relation to it as he is doing the extrapolated sketches and the bust. Buck is independent to me, I had not met him nor worked with him before and that is a good thing for this project but a bloody good bloke

Hope you are well

Gday Ray,
Sorry I can’t make it , I think I may have broken Rods heart, but is this going to be filmed? Also I’m not sure charging an admission fee will get you the witness you want, I suggest you should supply some nibbles at least, but I hope this works out and it can be an annual event.

Well Chad, Sorry you cannot get there. Unfortunately we dont all have the resources to put on events for free, you know hall hire, projectors, sounds, speakers all have costs, wish we could do it some other way.

Gday Ray
Is this a once off or do you think you will do something similar next year .
Im in Melbourne and wouldn't bat an eyelid at driving to the Blue Mountains / Sydney area but a 20hr drive is a bit too far to do in a weekend .
Do you think it will be filmed ( the interesting bits anyway ) so we could see how it goes
Hope everyone has a great time
Cheers Greg

Just wanted to add that Buck is a lifelong friend of mine, more like family, really, and the one who showed me AYR all those years ago. He's a wonderful human being, and an incredibly creative and talented artisan as well. He told me he was coming along to this meeting, and I can't wait to hear all about it from him, and from those here who attended.

Cheers

Hi Ray. The bust is very similar to what i have had described to me of a family/tribe of grey hairy men that would cross at a property i stayed at in Blackbutt(early 80s). Also closest image ive seen to what a mate and i encountered on Fraser Island especially the high forehead with the eczema type scratched up skin. Great stuff and thanks to all responsible! Thanks YB - Buck did an incredible job of reconstructing the photo in a 3D representation based on what he saw, he really helped tell the story of the photo

Yep Buck has done an incredible job for sure. Shame more talented artists dont get to see them. I don't know how many types there are of course but that is so similar to the "bug eyed neanderthal man" we saw that its amazing. Im sure theres many witnesses that will see that and be quite shocked like i was and very pleased too! :D

Well its as Buck said
'Is this what the Yowie's look like? We dont know but it what this yowie looked like'
We felt that they will be similar to modern humans, they may well all look different
we simply do not know

What an outstanding read, I dearly wish I could have been at the event to see and hear the whole presentation, as well as the others. Bravo, Buck, for yet another sensational concept sketch and that amazing bust. Bravo Ray and team for your pursuit of factual data and logical, scientific processes throughout. I'm floored!

Hi, i found Buck an amazing speaker and artist-the revealing sure was a exciting one. Driving back home we spotted a ( Fake) yowie at a place called woodburn on the side of the road. I thought it looked better then our woodford yowie standing in the park. Heres a pic.

Great stuff there. Lots of hard work put into that thesis. (thumb) I especially like what Ray says how the hairys dont need our help to survive but we need to protect their environment. The one reason i would like to see them recognized.

Great sculpture Buck! Sounds like it was worth the effort for those who made the trip to the seminar.
