Re: Went bushwalking--never again--whats out there?
Hi Yowie chaser,
When the movie is done im sure to show it on here. It will be used to try win the short movie at the film festival at the end of the year.
The winner receives $500000+ to then make a full length movie. It will mostly be based on real life events what has happened to us all along(re-enacted) along with new footage.
Rick and josh will be shooting and directing. Ron and i will be the campers. Or Ron and i will hold our own camera ( similar to the blair witch project film).
The audience will see us setting up camp, notice the woods gone quiet, finding tree structures, foot prints, rock stacks, hearing the hairees vocals, rock on rock clacking, wood knocking, the tree damage, sounds of them walking and running past us and maybe just maybe get a sighting.
With the exceptional equipment will show up in the movie of rocks been thrown at us. Least i dont have to act, ill be crapping myself anyway. Just have to learn not to swear out there.
We are shooting lots of stuff to see how it looks and see what could be done better. At least the movie will be real.Real people, real life on whats in our bushland. Of course the location wont be told. And of course there will be a unbelievable ending.
1 thing we dont have is a name for the movie, any ideas? Dee

Hi Dee,adventurer wrote: Sun Aug 28, 2016 1:48 pm Me rick josh ron and 2 from forum headed out there sat night.carried in a fair bit of stuff. Very quiet still night. Got to creek with no noises, set up a mini camp, 2 new rock stacks were up. Hung the fruit around trees with fishing wire along the paths, then sat and cooked the food for aroma. Aroma didnt last long as rick got hungry and started eating the bacon and sausages. Hung around at creek bank and all had a coffee, distant noises of rocks only. No weird smells around and no animal life.Left baby at creek bank and all wondered further in, again with only distant rock sounds, 3 rock thumps were nearer, but no rock throwing, rolling evident, so we split up, 3 and 3. The other 3 got back first and 2 of them saw yellow eyes down the creek at seperate occasions but wasnt sure what the eyes were from.Saw nothing else. All sat back in dark at creek bank with again only distant rock sounds. No real activity or disturbances. On our way out eventually freezing only 1 banana and 1 apple were taken???
So either there was something more interesting for them in the distance or
We had carried a lot of gear in that they didnt want to come near or
The boys smelt the big hairy men away themselves with all there farting that night.
Who knows
We will give it a large break now for a while as there is less activity now the more we have been going out. Quite dissapointing again. Dee
I’ve just joined the forum today and posted about a story of a Bigfoot sighting a friend of mine saw. At the end of the story I said that I have a Yowie story also that I may share. So what got my attention about this post is that you said that 2 of the guys that went with you saw yellow eyes twice on seperate occasions? The story that I have about yowies is of this old aboriginal man that was friends with my ex girlfriend and he said that when he was a kid him and his friends would go play in the creek and what they would do is get sticks and scoop up mud and throw it at each other. Than from out of no where mud was thrown at his from behind and he turned around and it was a Yowie and it had yellow eyes. So that goes along with them having the tendencies to throw stuff at humans too. Either way I think that’s a good connection with the yellow eyes! I’ll keep on reading this thread but so far it seems very interesting!

Hi J Delo,
That was a while ago, nearly forgot about that.Prob cause i didnt see the eyes lol. Yeah well as i said they were unsure what the eyes were.
We , Rick myself and ron saw eyeshine at a different location and 100% certain it was a large hairee (but they were white eyes).
Interested to know the rest of the story, did they throw mud back at the hairees way or leave or? They do play games, doesnt sound aggresive. Sticks may have had something to do with that too. Thanks Dee

Yeah I did notice it was a while ago. I’m new to the site so please excuse the “digging up the old parts of the story” lol from what I remember from what my ex told me the yowie seemed like a juvinial cause it was the same hight is the aboriginal man when he was a kid. With the whole yellow eyes thing I’d imagine they’d be like any other species of animal where they’re all different kinds with different features. I mean it seems like it could be the case. I’ve never had any interaction with one and from what you’ve described I’d be questioning if I’d want to! Lol I think deep down we all want to though hehe... as for throwing mud back at the yowie I don’t think they did. From memory they stood staring at each other for a bit then it ran off.
Also I see you’re making a short film! That’s great! I wish you all the best of luck with that and may I suggest possibly highering a professional to work along side with you guys? I only say this because I have experience making high quality music videos in bands I’ve played in and the investment is worth it. You can get really good people for not that much either because it’s so accessible these days. Its only a suggestion too I really don’t mean anything by it. I just think if you want to win you wanna try the absolute best you can. Because everyone else is! And working with a professional is a good start. Also as for a name for the short film possibly something short and simple may be the go. Something straight to the point that says it all.. I think just plan old “Yowie” or even “Yowies” would be a good name especially for a short film potentialling turning into a full length.
Again best of luck Adevnturer I hope this film is a great success for you!
