The recent news reports of a drone causing chaos and massive passenger disruption over Gatwick Airport in England reminds me of one of the most talked about airport incidents of all time… The Chicago O’Hare Airport UFO.
It was back in 2006 that a dozen airport employees saw a metallic disc shaped craft hovering over Gate C-17. Many other people witnessed the object that was in view for at least a few minutes. Pilots and airline supervisors were also reported to have seen the UFO. One of the most bizarre elements of this sighting was the object departing by shooting straight up out of sight and leaving a perfect circle in the clouds through which blue sky could be seen.
In 2010, a UFO disrupted an airport in China affecting 18 flights. This was reported world wide.
There have been suggestions that the Gatwick drone may not have been a drone at all. Two individuals were charged but then released shortly after. The latest Filers Files has an article saying a flying disc was videoed over the airport on the same day as the incident occurred. The object was described as being as big as two 727’s. It is quite understandable that the Airport authorities, in conjunction with whatever government agencies are responsible, would concoct a story involving a drone. It is illogical to think they would openly admit there are objects flying around our skies wherever and whenever they like.
At this stage, no drone flyers have been arrested. However, only yesterday it was reported that a possible drone was sighted in the vicinity of Europe's busiest airport, Heathrow. All departing flights were stopped. What is going on? One way or another, the Airports need to upgrade their security asap although that's probably easier said than done. It is all but impossible to protect against UFO incursions.

Has there been any word as to the identify of those drones and the pilots flying them?

Re: UFO's Over Airports
Remembering what I said months ago, I noticed an article in today's Herald Sun.
Seems the Gatwick 'Drone' incident is far from solved!
Some of the comments from YouTube videos make sense because of the duration of the disruption and the time a drone can stay in the air. I believe it stretches credibility to suggest a drone was flown from inside the airport!
Obviously, the authorities are not going to say it was a UFO. It would be called a balloon (or anything else that comes to mind) long before that...
Calling it a drone would also help justify bringing in strict new laws to control their use, perhaps with terrorism potential in mind.
