Anyone familiar with this book/novel?

Unread post by Shazzoir »

Never heard of it before, and the title alone makes me think it'll be garbage, but who knows. Have any of you seen or read it?

"Take six teens, three boys and three girls, send them camping in a tropical Australian rainforest. It should make for some fun adolescent times. That is if there isn't a brutal homicidal maniac lurking in the shadows, watching their every move, or a huge hairy yowie waiting for it's next meal.Feel their passion as they come of ageHear their screamsWitness their horrorCringe at their painYou'll turn the pages so fast that your fingers will leave scorch marks."

About the author (2012)

Born in Australia on the 6th December 1970, Cody Craig started to write after an accident left him with a broken vertebrae in his spine and unable perform his normal employment as a Supermarket Manager. He was confined to bed for eight months and was reading a novel a day, it was costing him a small fortune, so he decided that he would give writing a try. He had his wife drag the computer over to his bed side and the words started flowing immediately'To date he has written three horror novels, 'The Fiend Within', 'YOWIE! Terror in the Clouds' and 'A Cold Dark Place'. He is currently working on his fourth novel. Cody has also written a number of short stories, a selection of these have been published in his anthology 'Chum'. His short story 'All Hallows Eve' has been published in Cyber-pulps Halloween 3.0.

And Admins, I tried to edit my post less than a minute after I posted and got denied - how short is the darn edit window???
Can it be increased a bit?

Dont feel bad. I cant even figure out how to edit any of my posts.

Anyway, on to topic. As someone whos attempted to write scifi about a topic i know really well and failed. I can say writing good fiction is not easy.

I think youre right. Cant find the edit function anywhere. Im not the sharpest tool in the shed, but if other people more savy with this website are having similar issues then it must not just my failings to find the edit button.

So....you thinking about buying Yowie: Terror in the clouds? Its only 28.95 for a paperback copy. Its not like youre throwing your money away...

To not be sarcastic and on a serious note. If the author wants to sell his books via the Internet he should really be up on selling it via kindle or some other digital medium like amazon. And keep the price around five bucks. My fiance is a fantasy novel author who publishes book on line. hard to sell books in papeback when one has them priced like he does.

Shame too cause ill easily ready stuff like people being stalked by yowies in the karunda.

Only 'VIP' members can edit their posts on this forum. (sneaky)
Dean thinned out the VIP ranks a couple months back because it had been 'infiltrated'. (detective)
Ironically I lost my status even though it was originally me who brought the infiltration to select member's attention (claps hands)
Such is the nature of online forums (sigh)

I've not heard of this book or its author before. It seems expensive for what it is. Who knows, it might be good for a laugh?
