Unread post by GlennO87 »

I am in Perth, chasing some other people to research with. Any takers?

Not that I am located over there.....
Is there much activity over there?

I've seen a few reports recently not far from Perth itself? Be quite interested what other stuff happens on that side of the country?

Good luck with your search.

Am I interested? Absolutely.

Could I realistically make the time for it? Unfortunately not :(

Try the Avon valley - moondyne country. Specifically bald hill.

Try the Glenforest area around Kalamunda (very close to Perth) it has gravel tracks deep into the forest. The forest area is vast and extends right through the Darling Ranges. Some serious reports there from the 1980's. I'm planning on visiting Mukinbudin and Hyden about 293 kilometres east of Perth in the near future especially the Dryandra Woodlands. I'm really interested in this area has an abundance of wildlife and potential Yowie activity.

Cheers guys. More looking for people to go with. I have heard of the places around Perth they are meant to be. As far as i know not much at all happens here. Any sightings are usually sketchy i find.

As in i don`t trust them. Most reports here don`t seem to be that reliable IMO.

I spent years both working and spending my free time in the bush all around the southwest, so I'm familiar with the wildlife

Back then I thought that yowies were just dreamtime stories, but I remember two times being baffled by the sound of a person walking around my campsite

Both were in the Avon Valley

I'm not saying that I definately heard a yowie, but it might be a good place to investigate

Cheers mate and good luck

Hey I would be interested in meeting up to do some reseach. I have done some trip around Dwellingup with interesting results. Definately keen to find a research partner though.

Hi Glenn, lm in perth and interested.
From my research it seems that the south west is home to more of the little hairy folk than the big.

Hey Býrn
Glenn is overseas at the moment. If you are interested in joining an expedition email me at [email protected] or message me on my Facebook page West Oz Yowie Research

I concur with your research regarding the little ones, from what I have heard there's no stories of the big guys early on in the South West. As the local Noongars slowly left the bush it would seem that the big guys moved in.
The earliest sighting of the big guys in the South West (That I'm aware of) is the early 80's.

P.S. I'm looking forward to your next presentation, unfortunately I missed the first one.

Cheers

Awesome I've been trying to meet with some elders but I've been talking to a Noongar fella down Bunbury way and he's helping to put in contact with someone in Perth.
That reminds me, I should message him....
Cheers
