Producing a Bigfoot documentary in New Zealand

I'm wondering how well your footprint cast turned out, that you took at the end of your fundraising video?

The soil on the ground was not ideal for casting. Ideally would be found in mud or something that would wash off easily.

You will record far more contact if you focus on audio, instead of video. For instance, if you use a 1" diameter diaphragm studio omnidirectional XLR SHURE KSM 44a microphone (instead of one you buy in a tiny box), 100 feet of XLR cable and a zoom X6 audio recorder/amplifier, with headphones, that you can record yourself breathing if the mic is placed within 40 feet, then you can get bipedal footstep recordings virtually 100% of the time. You would naturally have to select an absolutely quiet location in the forest that is not near any roads, creeks, wind, cricket farms, camping mates that just can't seem to ever shutup, or beneath a main jetliner pathway. Now once pulling into your camping spot during broad daylight, you immediately setup your microphone, taped to a 5 foot tall tripod, and located it at least 50 feet from the quiet camping chair that you will be listening from. You can also set out some aromatic barbequed chicken, in order to prime the pump. By the time you have set out all of this stuff and get back to your chair (with your camping mates tied up and gagged inside their vehicles so they can't ruin the recordings), you should be hearing bipedal footsteps during broad daylight, that is investigating the chicken or your camp. I even had one unzip the velcro at the microphone, that was attached to the XLR cable. If you weren't already a paranormal believer then you will be shortly. Because there will be nothing visible that can account for the bipedal footsteps that you will be recording with the zoom amplifier cranked up. Your inevitable scientific conclusion that you will reach is the those paranormal f'g yowie are everywhere, so you better be nice and talk nice to them. I like to entertain them and ask them a few questions that they can signal a YES answer with a branch break. This especially makes for good theatre if you are making a Bigfoot documentary. They like opera, flutes, guitar soloist, monk chants, and the greatest romantic hits of all time. If you try and play loud hard rock or later obnoxious genre, prepare to get your ass escorted out of the forest in short order, or worse.

I am not used to doing this html kind of comment posting-so hopefully this reply works. Thanks for the tips. Very good. You are one of the few who has described the invisibility factor that I have experienced. It is nice to hear from someone else who has. I took a fella with me and he heard some kind of singing before we come across prints. It is bloody hard to get into this area there are no pathways and it is steep and slippery but they never seem to slip LOL. I had a repeat of some kind of female voice that seemed to be trying to get my attention that kept repeating. Yes good point the evidence is in the sounds (and the strange footprints). I know a reporter who wants me to take him out there I am worried he wont be able to climb out as its quite dangerous. I really need a parabolic dish. I made a makeshift one that worked ok. I am living on ramen making this. I wish I could get some more gear for better sound. I have handheld digital stereo recorders but they don't do a great job for picking something up 60 feet away. I had two on them walk up to me while I was having a leak on the way out I knew then it was paranormal related as I could not SEE them and they were right next to me. To make this even more shocking, they made contact with me before I hit the bush here via a radio shielded spirit box. They have abilities beyond any known living being. I also have a paranormal investigation background and was doing a ghost investigation at an old building on Queen Street Auckland when I received the message (there were other but I don't think it was the Bigfoot people).
