Thinking about planning a trip?

Unread post by deadpool »

I don't know if it's been touched on or not but for those of you who've been around for awhile you'll remember Dean's encounter with old mate out Ormeau way. As we all know it's changed a lot since then but at the same time I think Ormeau Hills & Kingsholme warrant a (second/third/fourth) look. Lots of (from google maps) dense bushland, creeks and lakes (food sources) plus random roads/tracks that go in and out of the place.

If anyone has advice for other places around this area/people who want in - post below and we'll get the ball rolling!
..people don't tend to notice him standing there in the last frames..

I live in that area.

There are some good tracks snaking over ridges into creeks up some of the valleys, but access can be a pain (private property, etc).

We've been on most, if not all accessible, tracks with our Yowie Hound all around.
... problem is if there are any of the Hairy Blokes around they will steer clear of creeks, etc accessible by the public and stick to back creeks on private land or beyond where the walking tracks end in the National Parks.

Mind you we've been deep into valleys and creeks 'off the beaten track' all over this area as well... still no sign to us though and our dog would've 'indicated' ferociously if one was around.

how did you train your dog to indicate to you if one was round? what does he do?

This.

Your dog sounds very experienced.

By 'indicating' I mean he would be going off.

He is half wolfhound, quarter bull mastiff and quarter German wirehaired pointer... a breed designed for pig hunting. His prey drive is ridiculously high and would go off the richter if he smelled, saw or heard anything bigger than a wallaby within a hundred yards of us while hiking.

I watched these guys on "Finding Bigfoot" that had trained their hunting dogs using the scent of primates. It would be great if a zoo provided you with something containing that scent.

Coonbo Baker reckons his dogs are trained Booger Dogs.

There is a whole Bigfoot Outlaws show about it.

If there are Yowies in the area they probably would have always sensed Thor before he sensed them and they would have stayed well away IMHO

Just looked up the Bigfoot outlaws, looks like I have a lot of listening to catch up on.

I imagine you are right about your dog and Yowies sensing him. I was just curious if anybody had ever tried it here in Australia.

I know this thread is a couple years old now but wondering if anyone went out for a look? There's a new development that has cleared a few fire trails. Not many people go on the fire trails do still quieter than places like daisy hill etc.

Pick a date and let's meet up at the cricket ground at Kingsholme .
There's a spot up near the end of Baranjoey rd on the left that looks super interesting.
It looks like public land but not sure though

Just hope Wolf’s impressive hound is as well trained and tough as he says…

There have been many reports over the years of these incredibly powerful Yowie and Bigfoot creatures literally ripping the heads off ferocious dogs.

When confronted with a 7 foot tall Yowie, trained attack dogs can turn into whimpering puppies! Check out the AYR Acacia Hills audio report #24. (approx. 10’.40") If you haven’t already heard it, listen from the start. It’s a great interview with Katrina about her encounter with the hairy man and certainly one of my favourites.

I think top of Ventnor drive near water tank .. there is a bush trail goes along the quarry it's 7km to upper Ormeau road and U can always turn around.. there is a creek near the end. It's super spooky I've been there a few times but once in the day i went every thing was dead silent... Couldn't get out of there fast enough... It's a bit of a steep treck tho.. 4wd and motorbikes go there some times and they bait for wild dogs. I've never been so scared in my life walking there.. who knows why...

Where's the place on the left U r keen to look at?
