Friendly Encounter
Hi Everyone,
I have been a member for some time just lurking in the background reading, really not sure I am doing the right thing by doing this but have decided to share what we are currently experiencing in the hope of touching base with others who have friendly experiences, my wife and I have had several encounters in a favourite camping spot of ours, all friendly curious experiences, but in saying that our dogs are always with us so I don't know if our experiences have been friendly because of this or not, we have seen fresh very large footprints and a couple of large snapouts that are unexplainable, some very unusual structures and harmless stone-throwing also, on a couple of occasions we have even bean left gifts, the one visual we have had was at sunrise and as soon as we spotted it it ran away from us up the hill behind our campsite at an amazing pace.
I don't really know what I am asking for, all I know is what we experienced was real and would love to touch base with someone who is real also, Thank you and all the best. Climber.

Re: Friendly Encounter
Thanks for sharing climber. I’ll kick off the follow up questions.
How long has this been happening?
Where?
What did the one you saw look like?
How big was it?
Rock throwing isn’t really friendly...they were probably trying to provoke a reaction in you?

Re: Friendly Encounter
Hi Thumper,
Thank you for replying, our experiencers are over a period of 3yrs, I would estimate that the being was approx 9ft and solidly built, being first light and watching it run through the scrub your only left with an image rather than a solid description if that makes sense and they move bloody quick. I am concerned to say where after reading some of the material on this site and no offence to you thumper, and also the area is one of those places you would look and say "No way that happened here", I wouldn't believe it myself had I not witnessed it, and I certainly wouldn't say anything at all but I can remain anonymous here, I have read that rock throwing isn't a friendly sign but it seems that our every experience is in an atmosphere of peace, I know this must sound stupid but I don't know how else to explain it. Re: Friendly Encounter
That's very interesting Climber.
I'm not sure how many others in this forum have had repeated experiences such as you and your wife have - other than Neil Frost, though I'm not sure if he is on here. Dean Harrison may be able to put you in touch - in fact I'd say it's definitely worth sending him a PM or email to catch up for a chat.

I get you actually. Sometimes they use humans for entertainment, or they're curious. So they'll throw rocks to provoke us or whatever. They also will use strategically placed stone throws to misdirect our attention while they reposition or whatever.Thumper wrote: Fri Dec 06, 2019 1:08 pm I have read that rock throwing isn't a friendly sign but it seems that our every experience is in an atmosphere of peace, I know this must sound stupid but I don't know how else to explain it.
Also i have no idea why you said "no offsense to you thumper". Nothing you said was even mildly offensive. We're just a group of weirdos chase a really weird obsession right?

Hi Climber, yes they are super friendly, they love human company, they are intrigued with us and do constantly throw pebbles to rocks, i believe its them saying there here.Have you tried hitting a tree with a piece of wood, they reply with the same amount of hits--its amazing. If you stand around a pebble may get thrown at your feet, its a game. We have never been harmed.

Re: Friendly Encounter
I've often pondered rock throwing behavior. I have heard reports of such subtle interactions as tossing stones that harmlessly bounce off a person accompanied by various movement sounds in the bush.. to the extreme of large rocks pounding the ground around a bloke with wild smashing of vegetation around his camp in an obvious act of aggression. I think it interesting that if they can aim and hit you with a pebble why wasn't the bloke smashed to death by an incoming rock? Personally I think one was a curious and playful interaction and the other a territorial "move on" which for the record worked. Would they be so harmless that if this bloke had hung around they would stop? Other reports of aggression make me think he made the right decision that night.

Re: Friendly Encounter
Hi AustralopithecineOz The big quandary I have with Yowie/Bigfoot rock-throwing antics is their ability to place a stick, pebble or giant boulder exactly in the position they want it and the accuracy is uncanny.
I believe that to throw a pebble let alone a rock without hurting someone you would have to be in reasonably close proximity even a pebble being thrown from some distance would gather a certain amount of velocity to be accurate and this could possibly cause injury if the intention was to hit someone.
Rock throwing Yowies have never been sighted and I believe they do this in an invisible state I won't accept, oh, they hide behind a tree explanation that's a cop-out.

Hi Bluedog, thats because there invisible lol. Lotsa youtube stuff around the world showing large creatures roaming the bush lands in a invisible state with very little outline--close as they can call it is like the Predator "Movie".
They also have been sighted running then all of a sudden dissapearing.
There is no other explanation why they can be heard running close by and not be seen.

Re: Friendly Encounter
I remember this particular encounter very well .
I went to the site a few days after the report dropped and walked all of the tracks .
I found stones there that had recently been manufactured into crude tools .
And the whole time I was there I had that feeling !
I did not remove any stones from the area as I was not certain of their origin and did not possibly want to offend any traditional owners of the country by doing so .
I did however photograph the stones and the area but they were stored on a long ago clapped out hard drive.
I think I posted them here on AYR at the time , must've been around 2010 or so .
An very interesting area the whole waterfall way .
Well worth a slow trip taken over several days from Armidale in the west to
Coffs Harbour in the east , taking all the little side trips to have a good look ..

Re: Friendly Encounter
Interesting.
I've had small green unopened pine cones thrown at me. They did not come straight towards me but were thrown up over the canopy in a big arc and landing right next to me. Never saw the thrower.
I've been bing watching Dean's videos on YouTube (A.Y.R.). Dean has become expert at interviewing/questioning so the videos are usually very comprehensive in description of appearance and behavior.
After watching *many* AYR vids I am left with an impression of aggressiveness. I think the Yowie is more aggressive than BF. There are several reports of physical contact including Dean's own primary encounter.
Be careful out there.

When you two view a Yowie throwing sticks, stones or your empty beer cans come and report it. I know you pedagogy types have a complete aversion to the paranormal but many out there don't. I suggest you spend a little time checking out comments on the forum about the invisible Yowie. Even Dean Harrison reported a yowie was playing games with him and was seemingly invisible.
I don't like to bring it up ( yes I do ) 4268 topics and mine is the third most viewed only Dean Harrison can surpass me so it's easy to see whose comments people outside of the forum are interested in. What did it say on your school report? must try harder. Lol

Looking at the original post, I'm not sure why we've deviated so much to be throwing spears at each other. If you're lucky enough to WITNESS something or make an OBSERVATION that's relevant to the original post, it would be great to share it... Not sure why spears are being thrown though.

We feel so blessed that they have allowed us to have these experiences that we are treading carefully to ensure we continue our friendship with them, our last trip out there was a huge dead limb placed up the top of another tree beside our camp spot, this dead limb came from nowhere in the surrounding area, also for the first time we where left a gift of a small bunch of wildflowers, my wife and I know every inch of all the walking tracks at this campsite and never have we seen these wildflowers anywhere, please don't think us insane or attention seeking, we are just sharing and trying to learn, All the Best, Climber

Hello climber.
Thankyou for sharing your encounters with us.
Without being to specific about location, could you maybe share a few details such as the state your in, the nature of the area, is it sub tropical rain forest or scrub land, rocky, caves, water source, also do you think it's an individual or multiple creatures you are interacting with.
Is it very remote? How many other people frequent the area?
Again thanks for sharing and I for one hope you keep us uptated on any future interaction you have
Cheers bluedog

The area is in Sth Est QLD and it is not Adventurer's area, the campsite is open Forrest but not far away there is rainforest National Parks, there is plenty of water about in the form of creeks and lakes and the campsite is really a hidden little gem, for what it has to offer and the sheer size of it you would expect it to be packed but we always seem to get our favourite spot when we go there.
We are certain there are a few here because of a rock throwing incident we experienced and once also we tracked the large footprints to a dry creek bed and discovered multiple prints of various sizes.
All the best, Climber

Hi yes, absolutely, we want to let them live there ways and not annoy them to much. I stick to the paths and sometimes creek beds, but the bush is theres. I will have to try the Apricots. I made the mistake of putting on the forum long ago where i went, only cause i knew nothing then and certainly didnt believe in yowies. So my area was disclosed quick. Im not worried anyway if some army or shooters turn up, they will never get them, but the yowies do need there privacy, and not bombarded with people. I went out every sat night about 8, so the yowies soon got to know me. Its been a while now with me being extremely busy at work, but come late january ill be heading back out again regularly, will be suprising to c if they remember me(im sure they will), be exciting if they here my car coming and meet me in the car park. You can disclose what you are experiencing. it helps us all understand them, just dont disclose the area exactly, otherwise every yowie hunter will be out there. If i get a feeling they dont want us there, i immediately leave. If they want us in they call us in by making noises and i know there happy for us to enter there territory. Its about respecting them and learning from them. DeeClimber wrote: Tue Dec 10, 2019 8:04 amYes we have, they love dried apricots, my has even given them strawberries. There is a growing sense of responsibility that we feel to protect them and there home, parts of us want to share what we are experiencing and the other half whats to keep it to ourselves, do you feel this way ?adventurer wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2019 6:26 pm
Hi, Dont be afraid to try new things, dont believe every word written out there. The yowies know you and your wife arnt there to hunt them, thats why they leave u gifts. Have you tried leaving them a gift like a piece of fruit? I hope you get more interaction, it truelly is amazing.
My wife and I really struggle with sharing this on here, especially now as we have a genuine friendship developing with them and want to do everything to protect that but at the same time we want to learn, it's just difficult siphoning through those who are real and not.
Wow--that would be really something if they were waiting for you at the car park, I am certain that they see the human heart and choose carefully who they reveal themselves to, there is no fooling them.
Yes, once we arrived at our campsite and immediately we felt to leave, it was such an unnerving experience, we were so concerned we thought we had done something wrong, however about a month later when we returned it was this occasion that we were left a gift of a bunch wildflowers, Climber
