Expedition Bigfoot........

Unread post by BushcraftAndCampingA »

anyone else been watching?

Am i the only one who thinks they are actually going to pull a Blair Witch style twist at the end and the whole show is actually scripted? It feels like they are acting and on script the whole time.

Maybe i missed something, i dunno, just a gut feeling

Hey Bud,

I've seen the first two episodes and its definitely the most 'polished' of the Bigfoot related shows and does seem scripted in parts.
Apparently it builds to a great climax so I guess we'll have to wait and see haha.

It was filmed in the northern hemispheres summer last year, july. If something noteworthy had happened it would have been news by now imo.
When they brought out the trail cams I could only think of the long effort rusty put in using them to no great success and figured the show was just another for selling ads.
I do appreciate their attempt at a scientific approach though. At least they didn't wood knock.

A couple of years ago I posted a link to a M.K.Davis vid where some habituators had luck filming bigfoot by pointing a constantly running video cam recorder at a mirror so it recorded what was behind it. That let me know a little bit of what the experienced have learnt.

I am mostly an armchair researcher and do appreciate anyone's effort in getting some evidence but am waiting to see the final reult of this series. Hope it works out.

What we all have to remember is that every show wants to get high ratings, other wise they don't last long. Most shows are scripted and it doesn't take long to realise that. These shows are still enjoyable to watch.

Do people really think that there's going to be any great revelation on these shows?

Nothing like a good mockumentery from the travel channel that had lost ratings to such an extent that it started making tv shows about ghosts and haunted houses, but considering this channel was also once owned buy the discovery channel, now famous for those mermaid, Megalodon and yeti mockumentaries it only took episode 1 for me to see the same script, only they dragged it out over several episodes instead of a monster week special, so glad I didn’t have to pay for a streaming service to watch this c**p instead it came up pirated in my YouTube feed, ps , thanks rusty for that link you included, gave me quite the laugh

The show was actually shot on the Warms Springs Indian Reservation, and not in the area of Oregon that they indicated at the beginning of the show. The algorithm malarkey that they cited frequently, was complete B.S. Since the Warm Springs Indians do not allow non-tribe members in that particular area of the reservation, there was likely to be a lack of people and an abundance of Bigfoot. Unfortunately, all of the actors who represented themselves as experts, were complete amateurs. Why? Because an expert Bigfoot researcher will listen for an invisible Bigfoot with super sensitive equipment, instead of chasing around the countryside, looking to catch a glimpse of something that they cannot see. An expert will pull up his best camping chair towards darkness, and then use the best method of their choice to call in the Bigfoot. Then they would use the best method of their choice for keeping the Bigfoot there and attempting communication. They would not be using lights, game cameras, algorithms, drones, balloons, or go chasing through the forest. The thermal cameras were the only close to legitimate equipment that they used, but they had a cheap one so it proved to be nearly useless. Although Bigfoot have been know to utilize caves, they can remain invisible while in a cave, making the use of a drone a complete waste of time. The whispering that they loved to do on video camera, proves that they are all complete morons when it comes to dealing with the Bigfoot. Because the Bigfoot can understand every word that you whisper, even before you whisper it, and from a considerable distance away. In the end, they may have had a Bigfoot swat the drone in the cave, but they did not attempt to make that leap. They dug out a lot of high tech gadgets to give the viewer the impression that these guys are at the cutting edge, but generally failed with their gadgets. The thermal that they got was so much of an unidentifiable low resolution blob, that the bought and paid for experts that they hired to confirm it as a North American ape, embarrassed themselves in making too big of a leap from limited evidence. The series was effectively "The Return of Finding Bigfoot, minus Matt Moneymaker and his Yes Men", that proved that they do not hire actors based on a resume of successful field experiences.

Season 2 has started for those that want more of the same but in a different area of the U.S this time. The algorithm must have been tweaked a bit...

Happy new year to all.

Hey themanfromglad, I think you summed up that fake show pretty good.

Hi themanfromglad,

Lol, Finding Bigfoot the gift that keeps on giving. His '' Yes Men'' plus his '' I have no explanation to describe this'' sceptic Ranae. Moneymaker the clues in the name.

No one is going to find Bigfoot with a crew of thousands behind the scenes. Do you really think that they are alone. They have no hope to film a Bigfoot with that many people behind the scenes.

Is it this turtleman ?

I did a web search thinking there was another cryptid like dogman... was entertained but a bit disappointed. Did see that him and turtlegal have a show where they look for bigfoot though.

In the second episode of expedition bigfoot they do get a thermal video of what looks like a large bigfoot stalking deer.
