My beliefs (that that anyone cares)
I think of myself as a scientific person, I don't believe things unless I have a couple of facts to back it up, but I'm also a very curious person, and I'm willing to believe/seriously question the existence of 'supernatural' things. I don't necercerally believe in the Yowies existence, but I'm willing to investigate. I have heard stories from people who I think to be perfectly reliable about yowies. I've been trying to see one for myself in order to form my own opinion on the existence of this creature. I find it incredibly strange that many cultures have a version of the bigfoot, but what I find more strange is that in Australia there are no bears or apes, yet still sightings.
What made you guys believe/question the possibility of yowies? was there a particular event or fact that swayed your thinking?

For me at the start was a lot like yourself, i simply didnt believe in such a thing and normally would need evidence.
I guess my turning point was when at the start certain things would happen, i kept thinking its just people or other animals. But when i went back i knew there were no people out there and impossible for other animals to do such things. Im talking about :
Extreme aim at rock throwing in the black of night.
Grunting noises unlike other animal sounds.
Sighting large feet imprints along a track.
Extreme heavy stampeding at speed.
Sighting large trees coming down on tracks after hearing heavy walking.
Large far apart eyeshine unlike other animal/human.
Same tree knocking in sequence copying us
After a certain amount of time my thoughts changed to the paranormal side (laugh if u like)
You hear huge movement next to you most of the walk with no visual
No cams pick up any footage
No sight of a hand throwing a rock
Every animal known to man goes silent when these things are around.
Feel frozen for seconds at times
Getting touched hard with nothing there
Sighting large figure floating across a track
I could go on and on but all this has been said before. Dee

I've been fascinated by the subject since I was a kid.
Living in a small town and finding a book on big foot in the town library started it for me.
It's the thousands of eye witness accounts that does it for me.
Even if 99% are c**p, what about the 1%?
Flesh and blood, paranormal, well that's for you to decide.

You are completely wasting your time in relying on the science that you have been formerly taught up to and including college. Furthermore, the Yowie/Bigfoot phenomenon does not easily yield itself to either understanding and/or prediction on what their characteristics and behavior are. Why? Because the subject matter, or at least the paranormal aspect of it, is either top secret or forbidden to be taught in schools because it can cause people to be afraid and have nightmares. I know that I had nightmares when I was young, about Bigfoot. The only way that you are going to enlighten yourself is to go out in the field and some get some mano a mano experience with large, noisy but invisible bipedal beings that inhabit the forest. Furthermore, you are going to have to get a lot of experiences, in order to gain even the tiniest level of understanding. And I don't mean finding prints, finding twisted off trees or finding stick structures. You are going to have to get the real time experience. The best way to do that is with some aromatic food, and some recorded and cleaned up female Yowie howls, and have the broadcasting equipment to put it out at least 5 miles. You can also hang a large fish near your tent and forgo with the howls, and the chit is likely to hit the fan in the wee hours of the morning. Now if you then really are looking for some understanding, then you are going to have to do some communication. As in asking them some questions and getting them to answer YES with a branch break, and a NO is signified by silence. Probably the best question that I ever asked, and got a YES answer was, "Mr. Bigfoot, are you 4th dimensional?". The second best was, "Mr Bigfoot, please stomp your feet 10 times". And then a Bigfoot starting pounding out foot stomps from a stationary position about 30 feet away. And then there is the standard question of ,"Mr Bigfoot, please break a branch if you want to be my friend". And when you are finished the next day and leave the area, be sure and leave the food that you set out to lure them in, behind. Otherwise, you are just being a selfish cheapskate. And the Yowie/Bigfoot does not like selfish cheapskates. Don't be a selfish/cheapskate.AnAnonymousGuy42 wrote: Wed Feb 26, 2020 8:23 pm I think of myself as a scientific person, I don't believe things unless I have a couple of facts to back it up, but I'm also a very curious person, and I'm willing to believe/seriously question the existence of 'supernatural' things. There's been nights when bigfoot stomps, tree knocks, walks alongside us then it all goes quiet.( Ron and I know they really are still with us,just being quiet and observing us) so we say out loud " oh they must be gone, nothing's happening now' then almost immediately they start tree knocking and walk beside us again.fhis has happened countless times, it's so good.themanfromglad wrote: Fri Feb 28, 2020 6:41 pmYou are completely wasting your time in relying on the science that you have been formerly taught up to and including college. Re: My beliefs (that that anyone cares)
Hi All,
I am an absolute newby and have no known experience of yowies. What made me a believer was listening to ordinary Aussies tell their stories. Don't have to see one for myself. I have had my fair share of other stuff.
Couple of things I find intetesting is I believe that the Aussie Defense Dept are well aware of the existence of the yowies. Likely among other authorities. Question is why not reveal them. Maybe implications would shake the foundations of our belief systems.
Secondly, I really like to hear Dean's opinion and views on yowies. Voice of experience and reason. Plus I reckon there are a lot of stories he could tell...
Anyway this forum is great and I love reading the stuff people post. Thanks for reading.

Hi Bear. Welcome to the forum. Yeah sure would be nice to know what the military and police know about the yowie. Surely they would have at least shot at one at one of the various military bases dotted around the country?

There is no use to write a Harry potter novel of c**p to back you up. I filmed one and then saw one and that is enough of me. No more no less they are there. If you wanna see one you may or may not have the luck. It's up to them if you get that chance.
