Yes, I'd like to hear more about the "old lady" anomaly that was mentioned.

Re: Dean Harrison's interview on Paranormal Portal
I could have listened to Dean for hours. Hope he's a guest on that show (or any show, for that matter) again, very soon. It's one thing to read about Yowie experiences generally, but they're colourless compared to Dean's retelling of his own experiences, not to mention his fascinating asides about experiences had by others, the background to research locations, others reactions, etc. Talk about leaving the audience wanting more …

A riveting interview... an absolute must watch! Anyone with an interest in Yowies could not spend two hours in a better way.
So take my advice, settle in with a supply of coffee and bikkies and prepare to be educated.
I'm very much looking forward to the next instalment.

These are so interesting because people like Dean have decades of experience. I sat down and listened to Dean talk during stay at home weekend.

Dean
You are the Steve Irwin of the Yowie world !
The similarities if for nothing else is your enormous passion for all things Yowie related .
Maintain that passion because I think we have only just scratched the surface of this topic yet .
There are so many lines of investigation and theories that have to be exhausted and re examined before we can have these creatures recognised as a race/species of man .
Remember it was an uncomfortably short time ago that Australia viewed indigenous people as animals .
So it is a difficult thing for a resistant public to get used to.
The existence of the Yowie and the BF would have to force a review of history .
Great Work and thanks for pushing the cause .

Since the riveting stories were generally told from a first person point of view, I believe that it is unlikely that a more compelling compilation has ever been told on any news media in modern recorded history, that even comes close to surpassing the high bar just set by Dean. And then obviously, the cherry on top was the first person, very close range thylacine sighting that put it well off of the charts. Needless to say, I am looking forward to the next interview.

Thank you everyone for your kind words, both here and other platforms.
Not something I normally do, and you can see I tend to be very passionate on the subject.
Thanks again.

Re: Dean Harrison's interview on Paranormal Portal
Excellent interview.
A lot of these stories I have heard firsthand from Dean himself many times but they never get old, (as Dean is an excellent re-teller of his personal experiences) it was great to hear him retelling them all over again. To see that these stories see the light of day also is excellent, I am guessing that only about 20% of the podcast stories were told in this episode, so I hope others get to hear the rest of the thrilling experiences in an upcoming second episode and maybe even a third.
The Thylacine story still cracks me up.
Time to write that book Dean.

Re: Dean Harrison's interview on Paranormal Portal
Hi Dion,
Thank you very much.
If you want the book, you need to find me a Ghost Writer. I don't have the concentration span.
As an amusing side note, one of the people I touched on in my Blue Mountains story, obviously watched the interview and suddenly felt even more attention deprived than his past behaviour showed. So much so, that he began emailing people wanting his own interview and telling them that "He and his community 'Trained' Dean". Quite sad really. I'm not quite sure what's involved with Yowie Training, but I could imagine it has something to do with barrel rolls and hiding behind trees - or something? Not sure, but it sounds fun... Hope I passed.
I met with one person and a neighbour there. I told them of my experiences at the time and they spoke of theirs. Guess I was schooled. But he wasn't, in his view.
There is a lot more to cover. A lot of experiences in many places. Met so many wonderful and interesting people, here and abroad. It's been quite the journey.
Glad to get some of it out there, and warmed by the positive responses. Thank you.

LOL yowie training should be similar to Rugby League training in terms of how to handle massive forwards "charging at you" and wanting to nail you to the floor all the time.Dean Harrison wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2020 2:59 pm I'm not quite sure what's involved with Yowie Training, but I could imagine it has something to do with barrel rolls and hiding behind trees - or something? Your interview was fall of passion and desire; I recon anyone who's had a life changing experience would either forget about the experience and never talk about it; or embark on a long journey to discovering WTF just happened to them. Good on you for choosing the latter. Sadly I have met a few people who fall in the former category and will not share.

Here is an idea... record your story and get it transcribed. Then all you would need is a good editor to clean it up and voila, you have your book.

Despite having a tragic week within my family, being over tired and grasping for energy - I managed to vent a few experiences.
Not perfect delivery. Not as I would prefer. But... I told some very real experiences the best way I could at the time.

I think it went quite well and found it enjoyable to hear the stories once again, although I found everyone's microphones were a bit crackly...... especially yours Dean, plus you seemed to be sitting in the dark.Dean Harrison wrote: Mon May 18, 2020 8:25 am Despite having a tragic week within my family, being over tired and grasping for energy - I managed to vent a few experiences.

The gain on my Laptop was too high. My fault.
If I seemed a little too dark, I’m sure everyone benefited from that. Not a great day.

Thank you Creeper.
Happy I didn’t have to compete with Home & Away at your house. It would be challenging to compete with those ratings
I was glad to get some of these stories off my chest, finally. It was easier than writing a book. Although I wasn’t well on the day, I truly enjoyed relaying those memories. Brent is such a lovely guy - he makes it effortless.
Thanks again.

The first was awesome Dean, one of my best for 2020.. I appreciate the fact you don't discount the paranormal aspects despite recognizing Yowies are biological beings.. Thanks for an awesome bit of ear candy

Great interview! Love listening on my drive to work especially as lots of your stories are in my neck of the woods albeit a while ago. Just wondering regarding trail cams, have you had any experience with black light infrared? I use a trail cam to see what animals come into my property and it think it's called black light. Apparently it doesn't deter animals like regular infrared does. ive had wallabies almost touching it in my videos/photos. Thanks!!
