I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. Run. He's fuzzy. Get outta here.

coverups, and to see what we know , and say . if you were involved in a coverup and had something to hide where would you start, hacking ?
coverups
coverup what?
Whats more logical...the scenario outlined further on in this post which is easily lampooned and doesnt have a leg to stand on.
OR
That a gutless individual with minor "skills" hacks the site for malicious "fun".
Sorry..the malicious kook winds hands down.
and to see what we know
you can do that by just reading the site.
Why would you have to hack the site to work that out.
And if the secret (yowie hunting unit) wanted the secret information, that is hidden on the site, but not accesible to the public, then they could just hack into it and look, without bringing the whole site crashing down and arousing suspicion.
and say
they could read what we say anyway:D
if you were involved in a coverup and had something to hide where would you start, hacking ?
Huh..
Who is involved in this coverup and what are they exactly covering up.?
And how does temporarily shutting down a site help the secret govt hide anything?
I am confused what you are actually trying to say...

There are groups of 'hacker teams' that go around competing to see how many sites they can hack! Paranormal .com.au was hacked by a czech team a couple of months back! Kids with too much time on their hands and way too lazy to get a tin of spray paint and annoy people that way!
I'm not fat.....I'm just fluffy

Hacking
Steven, please explain how hacking into this site, could assist a government agency in a cover-up?
Slowing the exchange of information is hardly stopping the site, and there are no hidden vaults of top secret importance retained here. All the information of the site exists in the public domain. Besides, every case file has it's duplicate in hardcopy form (somewhere - if not already published in a book) and information may still be exchanged via emails & the old fashioned telephone when the forum is down.
Additionally, this site is about a fringe subject of which there are hundreds of fringe subjects, each with their own websites.
Hope you can.......hack the question!

Dear All
I would be very very surprised if any government department were spying on Australian Yowie Research (AYR). For a start they would have to spend some money on the project. That would pretty much stop it on the spot. They would only be interested in AYR if it did something illegal or if it had a "person of interest" in it's midst. That's my opinion.
