I am a little unsure on what to think on this one, not about the validity of the claims but the shoot vs not to shoot decision.
Great interview BTW, but personally if something is upright and walking like a human I would not have shot, the lead up to the story how his sister was grabbed and how the Yowies were coming closer to the residence, I understand why he made the decision he did. However was there a better option?
I dont want to get into the Flesh and Blood vs the Paranormal debate here so..... And as I like to see a good debate.
Question being, lets keep it on the hypothetical of them being a purely Flesh and Blood creatures for this thread, would you have shot an upright walking creature or made another decision(s)?

Well, at least this story is original in that he claims to have actually shot a yowie. That is rare.
One part of the story that I'm puzzling over is this. What was the Yowies motivation for coming up and touching the sister? If he got close enough to touch her he was close enough to grab her. But he didn't grab her, he just ran away. The boyfriend with the torch isn't going to be able to stop an abduction in a moment like that. And the boyfriend putting the torch on him is hardly much dissuasive power if the yowie was really intent on what he was doing. So what was the yowing trying to do? Abduction doesn't seem to be the motivation?
I have heard of americans talking about Bigfoot who will play a version of the indian scalping game where they will creep up in the dark and see if they can touch you undetected. I don't know if I buy any of that... but it is interesting to think about.
2 cents from me.

It appears once again that these ''Yowies'' have a transfixed interest in females and children much like Bigfoot in the US. The sister was grabbed on the shoulder and Luke(boyfriend) saw it. I have seen it he said it looked like a big man and then it took off. Was the intention to abduct the sister if Luke had not been there? quite possibly it would have. I suspect they act on stealth.
That was a strange description looking like a big man never heard Yowie or Bigfoot described purely as such.

Funnily enough, we've had a few instances where people have been touched while sleeping. Or pulled, while in the the forest.
Hopefully we have a good one coming up soon. Beaconsfield, Victoria - 2007. Sarah was quick to grab this Interview. Its a Report where as Researcher, you are scared of it happening to you, when sleeping in a tent.
Believe me, I've been there, but luckily not to this extent .....
We also have another Cowley Beach Military Op encounter on the cards, among so many others. Very thankful for Sarah's help.

That's pretty close to the top of things I don't really want to happen to me while camping out.Dean Harrison wrote: Wed Jun 24, 2020 1:09 pm Funnily enough, we've had a few instances where people have been touched while sleeping. Or pulled, while in the the forest.

Great work Sarah and Dean to keep the interviews coming, I'm sure I speak for all to say we're very grateful.

To the lady who was doing the interview could you please let the person tell the whole storey before you stop them with questions or points of view.
It is very irritating and at times rude when trying to listen to someone recall an experience.
The man who also does the interviews waits till the end and then breaks down the key points with very particular and well thought out questions to get specific detail which is much enjoyable to listen to and gets much more detail from the report.
Cheers

Is there any chance getting details on the exact area for research? I have somewhat narrowed it down to 3 possible houses near the rail line, and bush with some small pine forrest as described in the story.
