Big cat prints in Hill Top

Unread post by Pleaidian »

Am very fit, avid explorer, lived in BC Canada for 7yrs, Toronto east coast for 3yrs, lived in Thatcher, Arizona 1yr. I moved back home, lived in Blaxland, Blue Mtns 2yrs and now live in Camden for past 10yrs.
I have experienced a large amount of different habitats, many different native cultures, I spend most time in meditation, or walking in the earths forrests and bushland. And I can say with great confidence NSW, has big cat species amoungst its wildlife. I have attached photos of my recent walk at Hill Top, I think it may be wise to gather enough evidence to protect the species on the list asap, before smart unethical hunters destroy, what now is obviously part of Australia's ecosystems.
Cheers for the opportunity to have an outlet team.

Hello Pleaidian : )

I'm certainly no expert but I believe you have photographed a dog or dingo print . Cats seem to be more rounded .
Attached is a screenshot of a print I found 10 years ago on the sandy edge of a mountain creek . I showed this print to a zoo and they were very keen to know where it came from .

Yep . I've seen 3 in the last 30 years , possibly the same cat .

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.
At first I thought Dingo also, but upon investigating the area, and on the photos, these are clearly the deepest prints in the sand, which included kangaroo and my own. So unless dingoes are now 80+kg, which is possible, I thought this less likely. In the case of the print detail, it appears to be moving at speed, not walking, which explains the claw protrusions of a large cat (at the end of the foot prints) during an attempt to get traction.
But, seeing is believing for us humans, so another trip is planned soon, hopefully more great info for the cryptid community.
Cheers

Totally right, this was dingo tracks, my bad, they seemed quite large at sight. Sorry for the confusion. I have this track from Lumeah near georges river, what do u think of this?

Hey team,
The track was approx 9cm wide, 7cm long, somewhat the size of the palm of my hand. What do you think about the depth, it seems at least would have to be around 50-60kg to indent the clay type soil. It was georges river where lumeah meets kentlyn.

You've definitely got something there I believe , but I wouldn't know how heavy it would be .

What ever the size , it's big enough to keep looking over your shoulder .
