That would be a coyote in America. Probably one of those pesky thylacines in Australia.

I'd say wild dog. People have no idea how many wild dogs roam Australia.

Got a pack of dingo's across the road from home . The couple runs a native animal shelter sounds very very much like dingo's. They will often set each other off and all end up making a very similar noise.
