2 different species

Unread post by Yowiie »

I believe that we have 2 different species of unidentified apes in Australia.
One of these I beleived to be the same as Orang Pendak which grows to around 150cm
This particular animal I believe is the Hobbit that was found in Asia last year
And the other species that can get to 3.0meters (10ft)
Whats your views

Nobody can conclusively answer that question - it is all pure hypothesis. Perhaps Homo Robustus for the smaller of the two as a guess?

I wouldn't totally class them as primates either.

Well I guess by the description of one in the Blue Mountains a few months back - could possibly be, but most of them seem to be described as broad and muscular - despite being 'height challenged'.

I've never seen a small one. I can only go on witness accounts when referring to them.

All my encounters have been with the larger variety.

I have found beds in my location that I have collected hair from and have been identified as primate.
What is amusing is that all the beds are all pretty similar in size which is between 1400 -1600cm.
Which would indicate that whatever made these is obviously small.
But at the same time these beds are in locations where I have observed 6-7ft animals.

I wasn’t sure whether to post this or not and without trying to sound as though I know what I’m talking about here is my personal opinion and it is just that an opinion and should not be taken as fact.

I believe we have a different species here in Australia compared to the American Bigfoot.
I do not believe they are one and the same.

I say this because I believe the Patterson–Gimlin footage to be real and if that’s the case and having had a minor yowie encounter once not to far from Coonabarrabran I can say the two do not stack up to each other. They are completely different in terms of looks.

I found the Australian Yowie to have much broader shoulders and relatively little to no neck. The long matted hair of the Yowie I saw also does not match that of the patterson-gimlin Footage.

So saying all that I would put three species world wide the yowie, the junjudee and the patterson-gimlin footage (patty being the third)

I am by all means no expert. I say these things not because I am knowledgeable on subject but because I can.

Paul If your still about I would like to hear more on your sightings of the 6-7ft tall individuals

What about the Almas of Mongolia?

Almas
This hairy biped resides in China and Mongolia and has been thought to be the cousin of Bigfoot and the yeti. The earliest mention of the Almas was in a nobleman's journal in the 1420's. It is manlike and has a body covered with hair, hairless face and hands, large jaws and an eyebrow ridge. The average height is 5 ft. The sightings have slowly dwindled off in the late 19th century.
The sightings were more common earlier and the local considered the Almas real animals by the locals who saw them frequently.

The beds you found with the hair entangled in them, .it could be very possible they belong to yowie Juveniles.. do you recall what state the nests were in when you found them..still thick and in form or spread out and flattend...may i ask.. were you able to take a photo of them for your records.

Australia may be the smallest continent, but it is also one very big Island.
We have at least two species:-
Yowie 2 to 3 metres
Junjadie 1.5 meters

However, I did say this is a big Island. Australia had also been isolated for a long time.
So, two species could easily have differentiated into several sub-species.
It is possible.

Whether or not the Yowie has any relationship to the Bigfoot or Sasquatch is debatable.
Australia was isolated for a long time, so speciation could easily have occured.
Even if they had the same root stock., they could be very different today.

The Alma and the Almasti also appear to be different again,
perhaps Neandertal relics or homo erectus/homo heidelbergensis relics.

Indonesia has around 17,000 or more Islands. Isolation on small islands plays havock with evolution.
Even if Homo Florensiensis, Orang Pendek and the Junjadie had the same base stock,
they could be very different today.
So the Hobit/Ebu Gogo and Orang Pendek are not necessarily the same species,
even if they started out as the same.
I don't forget the Philippines, they have their forest giants and little people as well.

Ultimately, only good DNA samples will enable correct classification.

Folcrom.
