Yowiie, I just read your report from the hair samples it was very interesting. A lot of people on here have had sightings or encounters with the big fella so you don't have to convince them. Joe Public but is another story and unfortuently I agree that only a dead body will ever quench there beliefs.

Hi Yowie,
Firstly, I found the format of your report a little distracting. A run down on where the samples came from, when and where they were analysed, with the significance of the findings, would supplement it nicely.
Interesting style: Blow in from nowhere, throw up a dozen fresh threads of well beaten paths, then bail out when rounds of ecstatic applause for your endeavours don't appear in a few days!

The hairs that I have collected have been within a 100klm radius of my loocation, I have discovered these hairs in beds that I beleive have been constructed by our hairy friend.
I have 3 other hair reports all stating the same result.
These have been analised by Dr Henner Fahrenbach a leader in the world in primate hair identification. He works with The oregon Regional Primate research centre in Beaverton ,Oregon.( Dianne Fossey foundation). The beds have been found in the last 4 years.
As for blowing in and posting a few threads. Just thought, I'd find out what happening in the rest of Oz, I certainly don't need any applause from anyone on this site that is not my intent, merely trying to get the truth out.
Cheers
Where in Qld are you, any sightings in the area.

Hi Yowiie,
I'm located at a Qld Yowie hub - Gympie - in relative close proximity to a couple of hotspots.
Thanks for clarifying your motives, and elaborating on the data regarding those hair samples. I've seen what was likely a 'yowie bed' on an occasion when I was in the Blue Mountains of NSW. I am impressed that you've gone to the trouble of finding possible hair samples and then the expense of having them scientifically analysed by a reputable person. The results are quite impressive.
I wonder where you're planning to go from there...

Million dollar question
Hi Yowiie,
That's the million dollar question! However, I always have, and still maintain it is not something exclusive to those in the 'right place at the right time' and outside the grasp of us field researchers.
There are a handful of Australian photos proposing to show the Yowie and more American ones proposing to show their bigfoot - which I deem to be authentic, even if they are more popularly looked upon with skepticism and suspicion. So it can and has been done!
On a physical level:
The serious approach would be to use a normal camera, camera with infra red filter, camera with UV capability, and camera like the firefighters use that picks up heat signatures. Oh, and nightvision monoculars or binoculars! $$$$$$$
To attract: Have a cook up with different aromas and a small lantern.
For Stealth: Set up near an established & likely track well before sunset and concentrate on absolute silence.
On a mental level:
For stealth:
Imagine yourself and equipment encased in a sound proof and thought proof bubble.
To attract:
Imagine yourself radiating a bright white light and streams of white light linking yourself to any Yowiie entities in the vicinity.
** As new agie as my mental level suggestions are, it would be ignorant to disregard or overlook the mental component of these encounters.
Cheers,

Furthermore
You may also wish to consider leaving the cameras & recording equipment behind, just to have a close encounter. At least you may have an experience. If you go the full-on evidence route up-front, and get nothing, they'll be extra cautious in the future, possibly making your efforts ten times more difficult.
