Dean It's an encounter even I sometimes have trouble trying to comprehend, how is anyone else going to be able to!
I have to pinch myself just thinking about it
Maybe I will let it slip over a barbeque and a few drinks one day if we ever meet up!
Still to this day I question the whole experience!
But I will say this I saw one of them from no more than 150 metres away!

Yes I'd be interested to hear your story too, Chewy.
People on Crypto boards who have had their own experience with mystery animal research don't usually ridicule reports of UFO sightings.
You could also consider calling the sightings hotline of AUFORN at

I know the Victorian coordinator personally & he's a sensible bloke.

Hi Chewy,
I've got my UFO report up there under the NSW sightings, so you won't be alone.
In regards to yowies,I've been stalked twice, seen a partial upper body, heard a gutteral, grunting vocalisation by myself.
With the kids we've all heard the 'roar', my son had a full body sighting and my daughter and her friend were stalked.

Chewy, I have seen UFO's twice now and have no trouble at all telling others about what I'm sure I saw with several other witnesses which were present on both occasions. I couldn't really care if I am ridiculed for this, but I feel your experience is perhaps of another kind. Were you by any chance inseminated by the greys/reptillians, and later abducted and taken aboard their craft where they removed the partially developed fetus from you?

Hey Cass, lighten up a little! Why take it upon yourself to defame me on behalf of Chewy? Whilst I'm at it, why did you fail to acknowledge the fact that I have amended my signature as per your request? Indeed my question about Chewy's UFO experience was straight to the point, but I'm not sure how to approach this kind of subject material in a more delicate manner.
As for the macadamia nut farm question, the first I ever knew of it was when you alerted me to this in last post. I have never been there personally, but a work colleague of mine is a pig hunter, and he has had a somewhat scary experience there lately. He said the nut farm where this event transpired (Loud roaring), is the property immediately to the east of Mt Beerwah which is a commercial macadamia nut plantation.
As for my so called "God awful", post inviting ladies on a yowie field trip, I must say that I was shocked to be instantly judged as some type of sicko predator. If you must know I am gay, and much prefer the company of women in most instances than men. I'm not the prettiest example of a man, and this I am well aware.
The image that accompanies my posts was taken back in 1999 at my high school reunion just before I came out of the closet.
I believe I have much to offer this forum, but must I tread on egg shells?

Mt. Beerwah is known for it's encounters. A frien d of mine has had some interesting experiences there. That, and i'm pretty sure when I was staying at his parents place one weekend not too long ago I heard (something) walking through the bush. I'm not saying what it was, because frankly I have no idea as to what it was, but it was big, and all the thick bush didn't bother it much.
Also, whilst outside having a smoke at night, I felt like I was being watched.
To this day I don't know what it was, but i'd like to hope it was a yowie.
(my friends parents property backs onto the bush, which goes for kilometres.)

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. Run. He's fuzzy. Get outta here.

Ok since I brought the whole Ufo experience up, It would be wrong of me not to deliver the story on such grounds, kind of wish I hadn?t, but because you all have an interest I will share it with you.
I used to live in a small town called Belgrave in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I don?t know if anyone knows the area well but this is where the siting occurred. On the low side of the main street you have shops, then the railway line and on the high side you have more shops and above them, a car park which links up with the local supermarket and library and has great views southeast over towards Menzies creek and Emerald way.
Anyway I was siting in the car in the car park admiring the views, it was right on dusk and my attention turned to a bright star or what I thought was a bright star in the distance. I thought it odd at the time because it seemed a little too bright in regards to the stars around it, which were only just starting to come out.
I kept looking at this star for around 3 or 4 minutes, until zip (excuse the sound effects) it flew of at incredible speed, almost straight up!
At this point my full attention was on this spot in the horizon, one minute later another one appeared almost out of nowhere, and then another flew in at ?very? high speed. One then proceeded to move at a steady pace west to south west, I watched this move right across the horizon until it was out of sight.
I then returned my gaze back to the other two which were still there, and at this point were accompanied by not another one, but another four. I remember counting around nine plus all up from the experience, don?t ask me how but I was able to work it out.
Each one proceeded to move from (one at a time, by this I mean one would fly across the distance of the horizon and out of sight and then the next would proceed to move) an easterly position to a westerly position and as each one moved, the one after would move a little more north. Almost like then were mapping the area out.
Now this is where it gets interesting, because they were moving slowly north, they were getting closer to me sitting in the car park and it?s an experience I will never ever forget!
I sat in total amazement as one flew straight over the car park no more than 150 metres away. In full view I was able to see the whole craft.
Now these details people may find hard to believe but I will not hold back! It was your typical oval shaped craft, dark in colour if not totally black; I was able to make out coloured lights which surrounded the outermost part of the craft in a circular motion. The exact colours escape me but they ranged from blues, greens, yellows, reds, there may have been others, but at the time this was not the focus of my attention. As I was able to see large portholes or windows and the shadow outlines of humanoid figures peering out of them. Some looked decidedly human like, and then others looked like children. I was able to see from the head down to the waist of the human looking figures and just the head of the children. I remember the heads of the children seemed rather large compared to the heads of the adults.
I just couldn?t believe what I was seeing and still to this day have trouble believing it.
This craft made no sound and was very low to the ground which is why I got a good look at it and its occupants.
It just drifted straight over the car park and out of sight; I probably saw it for about 30 seconds, enough to comprehend what I was seeing.
I was not under the influence of any drugs whatsoever and are a very civilised person.
I have only presented the facts as I saw them, you may make up your own conclusion to the events. I don?t care if anybody believes me or not it really doesn?t bother me.
For all those sceptics out there I will gladly take a poly test to prove it

Ok, i'm not saying it didn't happen, because it sounds convincing.
One thing. At the time, or around the time, were you feeling tired at all?

I just knew you'd come clean with the goods Chewy, and thank you for a great report. I know the area you speak of quite well. If I do remember correctly, as a kid I would sometimes go to the Cameo theatre to watch a movie. I also remember one of my daredevil friends skate-boarded down that terribly steep hill which has a roundabout at the bottom near the station. Anyway, I have something relevant to add here. Probably back in 1992/1993 a friend of mine introduced me to a woman friend of his. We became quite good friends, and one night she invited me over for drinks and to watch the UFO's from the back verandah of her house in Emerald. "Watch the UFO's", I said in astonishment by her off-handedness on the matter. Anyway, I went over and sure enough in the skies above and to the NW there were quite a number of pinpoint light sources which darted about and behaved erratically. I never got to see the rivets which held them together but it was impressive nonetheless. Apparently this phenomena could be seen quite often on the clear nights, but these are rare indeed in Melbourne. BTW these were certainly not satellites as they always follow an arc from horizon to horizon, and are not visible several hours after sunset. Later on in 1997 I witnessed a massive UFO with my friend in Cranbourne and half his street I think. This ship was quite simply MASSIVE and we always refered to it as the mother ship from then on, but that is another story. My last sighting was just off Dorset RD in Boronia back in 2001. It was an orange point source of light performing some amazing aerobatics, especially in regards to it's ability to accelerate and decelerate. Finally Chewy are you aware of the multiple UFO sighting on the Belgrave Hallam road back in 1990 I think it was. Quite a few motorists saw the craft just sitting in a paddock. Some people stopped for a better look, and others reported missing time. I can't recall much more detail on it than that at this moment.

I mentioned earlier that I had seen UFO's on two occasions, but in the last post mentioned three encounters. The reason being, is that I had completely forgotten the Emerald encounter until my memory was jogged by Chewy's encounter which was not far away geographically. Also too, what I saw in Emerald although impressive at the time pales into insignificance to the Cranbourne sighting. Although it sounds unbelievable, I estimate the craft to be a kilometer in length and comprised of several levels. I would often describe it as an airborne version of knoxfield shopping centre. This craft was not aerodynamic at all, and had bits and pieces jutting out from all over it.

Fascinating posts guys, this is what makes our board great.
I too lived in Belgrave..... failed to witness any UFO's, however at that stage, they were the last thing on my mind. These days there are an untold amount of Big Cat and Thylacine sightings in the area - most probably those days also.
Good constructive posts.

Thanks Chewy for that ok, And even though i dont know you i know the area ok and i believe you, I used to work in Craigieburn and saw orange lights floating like a Satellite until they turned and move north picking up speed, the area is know for lights in the sky.
I have also been shooting in out back Queensland and seen the Min Min lights on a Property called spring vale station near Bolia(i think thats how its spelt) Anyway thats a sight when you know the lights are going across creeks Etc were a car could not.
And to Byteman and started this thread to find out a bit about each of us and what we have seen/heard/experienced Etc it started to turn out to be a slang match towards you but i feel like it all has worked out to the better, we all have things off our chests, Also man our invite for women only was a bit creepy. But i would really love to one day soon to go on an overnight field trip somewhere with all you guys and girls. or even just meet up for a BBQ somewhere around MElb somewhere for some food and Big Fella ground work.

Chewy, here http://homepage.powerup.com.au/~gwheeler/kellyc1.txt is a link to the incident that occured on the Belgrave Hallam road that I mentioned earlier. I dare say it will make your skin crawl with what you have witnessed in that neck of the woods yourself. This encounter would in my opinion have to be one of the most significant in Australian UFO history.

All of these things are literally just down the road from me!LOL! When I was 19, I was living in Murrumbeena. I was wokem in th early hours of the morning by a blue light in my bedroom that was at the front of the house. I was married to Hubby NO 1 then and neither her or my baby woke up. the light flashed like a policecar light and there was a low hum like an engine running inidle. I got up to have a look because I was wondering what the police were doing outside my house. When i pulled back the blinds i saw this huge UFO. It was so big it seemed to touch the edge of my house and the roof of the one over the road. It was on a slight angle but all I could really see was a sort of circle thingy of blue lights at the bottom flashing. The craft appeared to be a dark grey. As I watched this voice in my head told me not to be afraid, that I was really asleep and dreaming and to get back into bed and go to sleep. So I did. When I woke the next day I thought I had a weird dream about a UFO but couldn't remember the details all that well. It was only something like 15 years later that I started to remember that night more clearly and bits kept comming back to me over the years. This wouldn't be the case if it was just a dream. I have no idea if other people in the area had similar experiences, and as it was an elderly area at the time I doubt that anyone would have admitted seeing anything even if they did! Chewy thats my story....sorry didn't see any aliens!

Nice one chewy. I must say im a definate believer. I bet it was the weridest feeling when u saw there outline but i bet it was weirder when u thought about what u were actually looking at. I mean its such a humbling thought that these things are so much more advanced then us. And the fact they could very well be from another world. I cant quite put it the way im trying but im just imagining seeing what u did and in particular the shape of the actuall creatures and i am absolutly amazed. I just cant come to terms. Dont get me wrong i definatly believe you but i understand why u are uncertain about telling people. No matter how many times you relive it and no matter how sure you are of what you saw you just think "no way...it just cant be".I have been there but unfortunatly my encounter was not as interesting as yours. Thanks for a terriffic story loved hearing it

Apparently very common Fluff. Often people don't recall encounters until years later - including Yowie encounters. Just have to look at Cherrie Waterhouse as just 'one' example.
