yowie village?

Unread post by stuart »

hi everyone...ok this sounds like a stupid thing to ask..but ..what do you think of yowies actually living in some sort of yowie village..so to speak...im not talking about living in huts but kinda living together as a group in some sort of organised tribe...you know the male go out and get food and take it back to the families...i mean it wouldn't be hard to hide as a group in the blue mtns.or do you think they are just like wild animals and they just wander around and sleep where ever they want and stay on their own except when they want to mate?

Hi Stuart,

Good question. I'd like to believe there is a Yowie Village for this reason. Every village has an idiot. Therefore if that's true we should concentrating on the Yowie Village Idiot. The rest are too damn smart.

Seriously, if there is a tribe, pod, group...? What is the collective noun for a group of Yowies? Stuart has kicked it off with a Village. I'd like to say a Stomp of Yowies... Any other takers?

While I've read of a few multiple sightings, what are the upper limits for Yowie gatherings? Have there been any sightings where ten or more have been seen?

I noticed that on the banner art of the Sydney Region Research into Cryptic Hominids there are six yowies in the picture. Once really fierce one protecting his Stomp or Village. I'd like to entertain the thought that it's from a real encounter.

Cheers Buck

There was an american report from earlier in the 1900's of a man being stolen and taken to a camp of sorts consisting of Mum, Dad, Teenage yowies, Male and female. Man (can't remember his name) felt that he was taken as a mate for the young female. He gave quite detailed report of their everyday lifestyle. Is it true or not? Idon't know! :D

You guys are so lucky you have me on this forum :P

Albert Ostman- is the guy you're looking for.
Fred Beck- was at Mt. St. Helens. He was in a party of 5 miners, and they were attacked by a clan of bigfeet.

Speaking of which, clan is much more suitable than 'stomp'. :P
I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. Run. He's fuzzy. Get outta here.

Sorry Dawn , I'm so all over the place when I'm searching for yowie/ BF stories that I never remember where I read them ! I used to save them on my PC a while ago , but as we all know , sometime the bloody thing tends to have a mind of it's own and mine had a tantrum a few months ago and I lost the lot ! Months and months of searching the net , only to loose it in the blink of an eye ! I now back up all my files to disc , just incase !

The Village was the best Bigfoot/Yowie movie that I have seen - "minus the Bigfoot and Yowie", same with Blair Witch.

In regard to a "Village" of Yowies, I don't think so. Rather solitary creatures that need their own areas due to food and survival. Having said that, they have been known to be in groups and family units, but not in a 'Village' of sorts.

Read my post more carefully. I'm refering to 'the feel'.

FYI - M Night Shaliman who brought us The Village, Signs, Unbreakable and the Sixth Sense also wrote Stuart Little...

I enjoyed the Village but was a little disapointed with an aspect of the ending. (Trying not to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it)

My favourite bit was the game the guys played with their backs to the wood.

Cheers Buck.

Great movie, I was surprised by the end twist. You expected one twist but then to get a second one.
It was a movie that didn't need blood and gore to scare you, as Dean said it had the feel.
