Snapped this shot on our way walking in today:
We couldn't get to the site of it to look, but it was still there when we left 1 1/2 hrs later so it's just a stump - but still, had the 2 of us standing there looking at it for a bit!

Not a mound. Its darker on the right side.

First glance it looks like a yowie mid stride. Closer observation leads me to believe its some kind of stump.
The shadows on it are weird though..
..people don't tend to notice him standing there in the last frames..

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a stump - unless the big hairy one was standing in the same spot an hour and a half later on our way back.
