Ok well here's my first attempt at sticking someones mug shot on to a pic

After having Photoshop for a couple of days this is the best I can do!

... Cass... what I've done... is I've reposted the images of you three sweet ladies over in my previous thread at the end of page 5 under an **EDIT** section in my previous post... that was the only thing that I could do to keep the images in the right sequence for the following comments by yourself Lasso and Pixie otherwise posting them at the time of this post would be lost in the sequence of the events...

...anyway... the words that I expressed at the time are lost... but I've done a smaller version of what I said in a recap of what I remember saying at the time... I meant what I said at the time that you... Lasso and Pixie really are an inspiration to me on these forums... I hope that in the edit of my post... that I have remedied that loss of my missing post... cheers... Stickyfingers.

Iwanna those 2 crazy looking women in the photos are one in the same, I promise! The images show variation due to the first being taken a year ago with my camera phone and me dropping several kgs before the next one was taken with a better cam, lol.... I posted them in larger form so that people could play with the image a bit better.

Allow me to remove the shroud of mystery from Photoshop's breast .

You don't actually need to morph anything while making these. Your brushes and settings do all the work for you. Before you start, adjust the face pic to the size of the body that you're sticking it to. To check this, drag the image with the face in it onto the image with the body to test out how much resizing needs to be done on the first image. After you resize use the eraser and rub out everything in that image with your eraser brush set to 100% so that you're left with the outline of the face of your subject.

Here's where we create a layer. Use the pointer tool to drag the face onto the body in the second image. You now have 1 image with 2 seperate layers embedded. You will see your layers in your toolbox window and you can choose which one to edit out of the menu. Choose the layer with the face. Now set your eraser brush to a soft setting, and reduce the transparency of your brush strokes to around 25% or less to help blend your 2nd layer (the head) into the first layer (the body) of your project. While using layers, you can erase different parts of image without touching the other layers that need protecting while you're editing them. Once you become experienced, you'll find that you can do so many cool things with an image.

I hope I havent confused you Iwanna, but it's very simple and you can really teach yourself as you go with Photoshop. As complicated as it might look, it's very simplistic once you grasp the concept of layers.

I bought my copy off eBay for a reasonable price, you should be able to pick it up for less than 200 bucks, I would suggest looking there.

I have heard of ways around having to buy it, but I wasn’t going to risk it in case of being caught.

Anyways I picked up the know how’s of how to use photoshop pretty easy I only got it a week ago and already I am churning out some artwork. You only have to look at Yowielover’s avatar and Cass’s beautiful artwork to know what its capable of.

A great little program I am glad I made the time to by it.

...each month I buy various Photoshop magazines to catch up on techniques and stuff... one month in "Advanced Photoshop" they had a tutorial on how to create an android... they had images on a disc that comes with the magazine... I borrowed the images from the disc to create and android of ME instead of using the stock image... this is the end result...



...my darling wife hates it!!! ... she says that I just look so damn evil and that it is really gross!!! ... (I don't know whether she means my face is gross or the circuitry and eyes) ... um...
