Re: 1st round of Consolation prizes
I did say "camel back".
You know, one of those water bladders that you carry on your back with a hose so you can suck fluids whenever you want.
Great for re-hydrating on the go.

Re: 1st round of Consolation prizes
Whoooo Hooooo!!!!!!!
Thanks guys, that's awesome.
I must admit that Dean's clue gave me the heads up. Anyone that lives in the Top End knows the value of water and the only thing I could think of that doubles as a pillow and is susceptible to a "heavy head" was the good 'ol "camel back".
I've never owned one myself so I'm stoked. I've usually followed my mates through the bush as they casually sip away on essential fluids while I'm carting a backpack full of water bottles. Believe me, this will get some serious use.
Mike Williams had me a bit stumped when he said "You can wear it to BBQ’s and have people look at you oddly, and talk about you behind your back, as they may feel the need to speak to your family members in regard to intervention orders, due to the fact that it would be deemed inappropriate."
C'mon!
If I rocked up to a BBQ in Darwin with a camel back full of beer I would automatically gain the status of "legend". In fact, most people would probably say "Where did you get THAT! Can I get one?”
I'm just glad I got a chance to guess as I've just relocated office (yes, I do search the AYR website at work) and I've been offline for a couple of days.
As for you Pixie I owe you a big red SLAP!
You Pixie SLAPPED! me even though I was right!
Brace yourself young lady. It's gonna' hurt and it will leave a mark.
SSSSSLAAAPPP!!!!!!!!!
Seriously guys, thanks very much.
The good 'ol camel back will get a serious workout in the Top End.
Cheers!

Re: 1st round of Consolation prizes
I have actually had a 'real' Slap from the Pix, a couple in fact. They are even better than they sound.
Below is a picture of 3 AYR Camel Back prizes we are Competitioning. The pack on the left is the prize Iwanna won.
Next step will be to announce our next Comp, however we don't have a date on that just yet.

Once all the competitions are over, why not open a store? Sell these type of things & make some money back for running the site/forum.

Yeah was thinking the same thing deadpool but you would need one dedicated individual to package and process everything which takes time and money.

Hmmm....
Don't know if that would work Sticky.
My guess would have been the Bee Gees or ABBA.

Re: 1st round of Consolation prizes
Very nice Sticky - Classic.
I have always pondered what the result would be if the team was actually dressed in such fashion during an expedition. Perhaps not dressed as Bee Gee - Rap hybrid Yowies with gold chains, attitude and high voices, but rather appearing more authentic.

Well Dean, I'm pleased it was the camel backs that received the embroidery and not those mankinis! The Australian bush is a much safer place for it!
