Everyone remembers the SASR encounter with the big guy. Just a question I have to ask about it (well, more for my dad than myself, as I got him to read it yesterday, just didn't get a chance to post what I am now). They mentioned they had long arms and short arms. The long arm that used the 7.62x51 boatail NATO rounds would have been an SR-25? I'm just asking this 'cause when Dad read it he said it'd have been an SR-25. He knows a few SAS guys (him being ex-navy & knowing quite a few people high up in the chain of command in the army/navy) - and this is just basically a clarification for him more than me. I'm not bothered by what weapons they used as such. Its weird though, the more I show him tidbits of this site, the more he becomes intrigued. Yeah, he's probably the biggest skeptic out there but when he read that post/report he said it was written out in pretty much exactly how an SASR operator would have written up a debriefing. Thats what got him thinking. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't join the forum in the next few weeks.
God, that'd be awful.
Also, once again, as this has been asked many times before, has there been more follow up to this, or has this gone to the trenches?
