Western Austrlaian Stone Henge

Unread post by Frankie »

I was working in some environmental circles about ten or more years ago when I was told of a stone henge in the middle of the Western Australian desert that was actually used as a focus point from atomic bomb testing. Not sure from how back we are talking here but information definitely moves differently in some circles. If you look at the history of Australia and it's colonization you have two different politcal parties. The activists and the opportunists. ie those who perhaps viewed Australia as a land of resources to be sold, pillaged and used to international profit. And then those who sought to better and work in accord with already naturally existing systems. Either way, I haven't read or heard anything since but figured it was an interesting enough rumour, so to speak, to put out there and was interested to know if there was any elements of truth to it. I have also seen these stones near Mt.Lindsey (spelling?) in Queensland and was wondering if it possible for them to be naturally stacked as such or whether or not they are average or low level attempts at some kind of stone hengesque structures

It is either natural weathering or a stack of rocks put there by Pankalankas for throwing at indigenous people in the olden times. Take you pick because no one really knows.

Then there is this rock stack made by the Quincans of North Queensland to terrorize the local Kuku Yalanji Aboriginal people.
