Your favorite sighting from the database

Unread post by Beastman »

What's your fave sighting from the database, and why?
I love the one from Lismore, with the old man recalling seeing a yowie approach his grandfather's farm house, back when he was aged about 10.
It's a great story, with a ring of truth to it, and therefore IMHO quite chilling. The whole thing reminded me of the film "The Village", which I loved.

I have two favorites - Dean's first encounter which got me thinking

The other is by J Garlick - the triple sighting on Tablelands Rd... which got me looking rather than just surfing the board.

The other is about the Canadian who was beaten to death with his own arm... where is that link?

Okay that's three - I failed math.

To be honest I like reading them all, even the ones that sound a bit sus.

Good thread.

Hinze dam, QLD.

Seeing as after I have read it 100 times, meeting and even becoming friends with the witness. Talking to his parents and being taken to the exact spot and getting run through the encounter time and time again 8)

The one that really gets me thinking is the 5th one from Ormeau in 2003. Mainly because it's a stones throw from my house. Quite a freaky place.

My favourite would either be the blue mtns story starring 'Fatfoot' or the canadian killing story. Very different context between the stories but both capture my attention. Dean's report is also very interesting.

I'd have to say either:

Deans report - that was the one that got me all "ooh".
The canadian encounter - I think thats just cool, gives it a real "ohmygod a monster" kind of twist.

or

well, all of the ormeau ones.
I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. Run. He's fuzzy. Get outta here.

Hi all, I have not read Deans report yet but it sounds great.
Where can I find it, is it on the site somewhere?

Thanks
