Here's another terrific article I've come across, commenting on the parallels with the Finding Bigfoot reality TV show and the research of ADHD. Enjoy!

Re: Finding Bigfoot & Researching ADHD
So the gist is ADHD research is like the Animal Planet Finding Bigfoot show. Wow. They really shouldn't be prescribing drugs. I can't see how wood knocking would make dexamphetimine and more effective. Long read for a cynical point really.

Yep, in the same way doctors are making money from flawed research methodology into ADHD and ritilin, there are people getting rich from letting a handful of people have one night stands in determined hotspots. There's no cynical point whatsoever. Finding Bigfoot cashes in on the thrill of the chase ideology. Every week, viewers tune in hoping the team will find a great piece of evidence or film a bigfoot in action, and every week the team doesn't. Hopefully next week, ay? Wood knock sounds can be attributed to certain species of frogs croaking.

Have to agree with you Scarts. I watched a short compilation of segments once. It's made for US tv based on an obviously successful formulae. For ratings that is. I admit I have wood knocked before and received what could be said was a reply and have recorded dozens on night-time audio. Still baffles me. For the record as well they wanted to medicate one of my kids for ADHD years ago. He grew out of it without.
