Shadow Trackers Episode 1 on NITV.
Watched it last night I know they were investigating the Bunyip stories at il bogan in Bromelton in Queensland, but I am wondering if the two investigators had an encounter with a yowie and not realize it?
Basically the were investigating at night separately around the area of were the Bunyip supposedly lived, now both lads felt really spooked, because a mouse scared them. They claimed to feel like they were being watched by something and felt like it was circling them during their investigation in the area. One of them thought they saw something large put a hand on a fence or gate and duck or disappear from view. Later the two lads reviewed the video of the investigation and caught what looked like eye shine in the dark looking back at them, and it wasnt a mouse it looked big and tall.
The said Bunyip was said to be covered with hair too with what was described as a head that looks like cow.
Just googled Bromelton and noticed on the map there are a few national parks near by.

I watched the show also and when they replayed/reviewed/froze it . To me ,whatever it was it did seem tall , and it could have possibly been 2 eyes , and they appeared to me to have a pink tinge to them. Did you notice the pink at all Kezza ? Same as the eyes of a roo when hit by light at night.Kezza wrote:Watched it last night I know they were investigating the Bunyip stories at il bogan in Bromelton in Queensland, but I am wondering if the two investigators had an encounter with a yowie and not realize it?

No I didn't, but like I said it could of been anything! Even a mouse moving around rattling a can had them on edge, so yes a Roo could of startled them.TheBlackStump wrote:I watched the show also and when they replayed/reviewed/froze it . I noticed through reading on here that there have been a few Yowie reports at Mt Tambourine and even one in Lamington National Park. Both areas are close to Bromelton.

Thanks for the heads up Ray. I will have to reinstall the sbs app to watch em all. I keep recording the same ones but yeah its a cool show. Those orbs they recreated in one episode (first one maybe?) sure look like whats described here as the min min lights.

Watching an episode now of Indians and aliens on NITV.
on shadow trackers I found the devil highway one interesting because a school girl discribed it as a phantom black dog. Given my origins I found it fascinating, because the phantom black dog is well reported in the British Isles and goes by many names.

Devil dog is popular along the us/mex border. Hell hound is another, apparently called so because of the red eyes.Kezza wrote:Watching an episode now of Indians and aliens on NITV.

Makes one wonder if the Hound of the Baskervilles has a trace of reality behind it

Re: Shadow Trackers Episode 1 on NITV.
This was a good tip off.
This show...only 4 episodes I know of so far, is great . Really casual indigenous approach to stories and experiences.
I actually learnt more about aboriginal folklore than discovering anything on the predictable format of night investigations.
I tend to think the yowie is responsible than bunyips. The evidenc and stories fits AYR descriptions more than the very few bunyip stories.
