Is post editing possible on this forum?
I continually make typographical errors...and if I don't notice and post 'em, there's no way to fix them. I'm probably asking a dumb question, but I cannot figure out how to edit posts here.

Hey Simon
Editing used to be allowed on the forum but there was no time limit with which you could edit, therefore users could come and edit hours, days, months or years later to their post. Which then henceforth created problems with users deleting everything they had ever posted, which then made threads very hard to understand while reading them. Editing things in a heated argument also became a problem, it became a bit of he said she said which then created even more arguments.
So the editing button was abolished in the end, in my opinion the forum needs a huge upgrade which I had been pushing for months and years. With this, the ability to edit posts up to an hour later should not create any problems.
Anyway just some reasons as to why there isn't an Edit button anymore.

Re: Is post editing possible on this forum?
Thanks, Dion - I can see why that'd create problems.
I do agree that editing within a short span of time might be handy. Thank you for explaining; I thought it was just me being a goose and that I hadn't spotted the editing button.
