Hi Ian,

In your photo the saplings seem to be laying just uniform enough for you to notice
but also just natural enough to be dismissed.
Typical questions would be......were they put there fresh out of the ground
or as dead wood, were there other saplings nearby the same size,
even leaning a bit in the same direction after a recent storm ?
Maybe a pic from a different angle would show less uniformity.

If anyone was going to hoax bushwalkers I’m sure there’d put more sticks
about and create a definite form.

I’ve seen this type of thing in the bush myself sometimes
and wondered if it’s natural or not.

If I was walking down that track I would have raised my camera also.

Thanks for reply T. Was hard to get good pic, steep section of land. They were dead saplings, they apeared to me to be placed. Never heard of any Yowie sightings at Kondalilla Nat Pk?

Looks natural to me, but I'm not there to study them.
There have been sightings nearby. Remember that creek runs down into the Conondale valley

I've lived in the Sunny Coast hinterland off an on over the years and I remember there were heaps of sightings of strange, hairy, barefoot men back in the early nineties around Maleny...

Hi Wolf, I was at the last Maleny folk festival, new years eve 89 before it was moved.

Great music, burning effigies, playing lager-phone in the Guiness tent and the Hare-Krishna
food stall kept me going that weekend.

Ive seen similar crosses. They were in a line going up the mountain if you looked at the right angle. Saw some possible tree leans the other day as well. I could not see any other fallen stuff and they too were in line and heading off into thicker bush.

Reo from utah sasquatch reckons this is the way to find them. Follow the signs till you run into a habitat or wallow as he calls them.

Of course more likely naturally formed but surely they cant all be..

How far did you follow them?

I was looking around on my lunch break so i didnt follow them. I could see maybe 4 of them and maybe 30 or 40 metres apart. Hard to tell out there how large the area is. Could be worth a look for anyone out that way.
