Hi YC, I say yes and no! Because you never know. It looks and sounds like a very dry dead area you are walking in for starters. Good on you though for getting out and about anyway. But i never take tree structures into consideration, it is way to difficult to know how they fall anyway. If you think they may have been placed like that by the hairees, you need to start looking for evidence. Look for constant many many triangle pattern stick formations, look for other signs, random sticks pushed into the ground, and see if theres footprints around them. Check for hair strands and get them tested. I know you have many videos out there so maybe you have already done this.
Then go a step further, get to know the area, sit there at night, trust k9's instincts ( neighbourhood dogs barking), ask around the locals, you will never know what they will tell you. Start recording for vocals and match them up to other peoples recorded vocals.Im certainly no expert. But i think unless u see a yowie placing these trees there, you will just go crazy working this out. Good luck mate.

Cheers Adventure, very dry through there, the creek running through is soaked, water cant really escape, that part is really green. Found plenty of little bends & few tree snaps close to the ground, that i thought where out of place. I dont think there are Yowies in there, they could visit there but i doubt it. maybe years ago before all the Factory's going in. no i dont look for hair samples if i find something really good i will be. i dont have enough time to do it. lol.

Thanx for your input its all in the memory bank

Hey Yowie Chaser
It's also good to check out the base of the branches, if there's a corresponding stump close by. It may further indicate how its been formed. If there is a stump there it more likely to have fallen naturally etc.
If it is a completely different species of tree than what's in the immediate vacinity and has been brought in from somewhere else might pose a few more questions if you get what I mean..

Cheers
