We’ve all seen the ground breaking Speilberg movie ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind’. These different type of encounters were first classified by Dr. Allan J. Hynek during his years with Project Blue Book.
The good professor was responsible for categorizing the first three types of encounters. The rest were added over time by fellow UFO researchers. Many will be surprised to find there are now 12 kinds of encounters. Here they are!
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE FIRST KIND.
When a person sees a UFO within 150 metres.
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE SECOND KIND.
When an encounter with a UFO in the sky or on the ground leaves physical evidence behind such as scorch marks or indents. It is also when a craft interferes with engines or communications.
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND.
When an encounter is with visible occupants of a UFO. ***
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE FORTH KIND.
Involves the person being taken aboard and experimented on inside the craft.
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE FIFTH KIND.
Where there is direct communication between aliens and humans.
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE SIXTH KIND.
Involves the death of a human associated by a UFO sighting.
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE SEVENTH KIND
The creation of a human/alien hybrid, either by sexual reproduction or by artificial scientific methods.
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE EIGHTH KIND
Having a long term relationship with one or more ET’s.
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE NINETH KIND
An active but secret working relationship between an ET group and a Human group.
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE TENTH KIND
Official contact between an ET group and Human Society.
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE ELEVENTH KIND
ETs join Human Society.
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE TWELFTH KIND
The last C.E. is where ETs and Humans are considered as one society, all equal.
*** The UFO researcher Ted Bloecher proposed six subtypes for CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND.
A : An entity is observed only inside the UFO.
B : An entity is observed inside and outside the UFO.
C : An entity is observed near to a UFO, but not going in or out.
D : An entity is observed. No UFOs are seen by the observer, but UFO activity has been reported in the area at about the same time.
E : An entity is observed, but no UFOs are seen and no UFO activity has been reported in the area at that time.
F : No entity or UFOs are observed, but the subject experiences some kind of "intelligent communication".
