The first one sounds definately Yowie.
The second one, seems odd.
Couldn't they tell the difference
between a Yowie and a Feral Child
back in 1891. After-all Yowies and
Humans are two different species.

big red kangaroo and a feral kid!
when i heard about this i immediately thought of a big red in full flight with its tail between its legs which looks like one big thick leg to the imaginitive eye of the 1800's
and there would have been lots of feral kids out there wandering with their families-have a look at a tree hugger feral kid of the 2000's !(you can smell them before you see them!)
and what firm records can they compare against to assume it was a yowie/bigfoot.(those drug store novel reporters used to make up anything and a lazy reporter from a bigger paper may have just stolen the story to fill a gap in his paper!)
i may have believed it more if it came from an aussie newspaper.
