Possible attack/abduction attempt near Taroom QLD

Unread post by Ron Smith »

I was talking with my brother on Monday night, I happen to mention to him about wanting to go out spot lighting looking for Powerful Owls in and around Lerderderg State Park but said I wasn't to keen going by myself at night because there's been recent encounters in the area between Dalesford and the park.

My brother then said, He and our nephew in early 2021 were on a camping trip near Taroom QLD, he didn't say the exact location but I'm thinking it may have been the Isla Gorge NP or very nearby, Anyway, he said my Nephew was asleep in his car rooftop tent which would have been about 5 ft off the ground.

My brother said the nephew awoke to a shadow on the tent and that the shadow was trying drag him out of the tent. My brother said, If our nephew could see the shadow on the tent then whatever it was that was trying to drag him out would have been close to 9ft tall.

That's the only information my brother has told me so far, I get the feeling it scared the c**p out of both of them.

Dean if you read this what would be the best way to have our nephew contact you, email? I have encouraged both to have the encounter recorded.

cheers.

Hi Ron,
That encounter your nephew endured would have been terrifying not just for him but your brother as well I doubt very much if your nephew will venture into the bush again particularly at night.
Camping trips I believe require an absolute minimum of 2 campers but three or four is preferable. Not that this really matters because if you have separate sleeping arrangements you are at the mercy of whatever is lurking outside at night as your nephew horrifyingly discovered.

There have been suspected Yowie abductions before just no positive confirmation. Ron, your nephew came terribly close to being the first verifiable case.
One thing for certain Queensland is the epicentre of Yowie sightings and visitations so many stories are emanating from Queensland.
Luke 8:17 KJV: For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

I reckon I would have been close to having a heart attack if something like this happened to me. I'm really hoping that he can come forward and share his story, He had a sighting when he was 10 years old as well but he's never spoken much about that.

I think there's much more detail in this one that someone like Dean could extract. I've given him the link 'report a sighting' on the website ad also let him know that he contact AYR via the FB page as well.
